Nike Running has produced some of the most memorable sneaker colorways of all time and while the Swoosh’s Sportswear division reissues and reappropriates those classic palettes with some frequency, it’s absolutely necessary to push on with new groundbreaking color combos. Take for instance this new Nike Air Max 2011 for women. It utilizes a colorway you can consider novel, if for no other reason than the Blue Glow shade on its sockliner and Max Air cushion is a new one. The Solar Red accents add a nice edge of aggression to a model that ends up looking a tad ‘un-Aquamarine’-like, and we can’t help but think this duo with a black base would look dope on a few other silhouettes. The Nike Air Max 2011+ keeps running strong with this new colorway slated to hit retailers later this month. The latest Air Max 2011 comes in a colorway that’s a bit darker than your average summer fare, their black layered mesh uppers accented by a Metallic Cool Grey Swoosh on the sides plus Club Purple on the tongue, laces and full-length Max Air cushion. Their super-breathable and lightweight construction means you can still rock stylish black runners on even the hottest of summer days and you can see more images of the black/Club Purple AM2011 when you click on the jump below. via FLUL

Drastic changes have been made to the Nike Air Max Running flagship from 2009 -> 2010 -> 2011 on the upper designs, shedding Flywire, adding diamond mesh, and implementing Fuse. For the Air Max+ 2012, Nike is taking a page out of the book of the recently released Nike Free Run+ 2 and upcoming Nike Lunarglide+ 3, using the multi-layered upper design that mimics the muscular anatomy of the human foot. A mesh base layer lies underneath a layer of Fuse, with another tensile material above it to create a highly stable and lightweight upper construction, with the heel being constructed with the seam-less composite material seen on other Nike Fuse footwear designs. Remaining unchanged is the running-specific 360-degree Max Air footbed. Take look at the eight upcoming colorways after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on the 2012 flagship model of the Nike Air Max running shoe, and except these to hit Nike Running retailers during the Spring 2012 season. via CK.

Its reign fully underway as current king of cushioned running sneakers, here’s a new colorway of the Nike Air Max 2011 you might expect to see Dunkman wearing for a morning jog. These joints share the same Cool Grey and neon green color combo as the LeBron 8 PS colorway named for that ‘superhero’ and offer a brighter twist on the black/Volt Air Max+ 2011s that released earlier this year. Thanks to Hyperfuse technology on the upper, these babies weigh a mere 13.8 ounces, which coupled with their full length Max Air cushion means they’ll feel like running atop a cloud. Click through to see more of the latest AM2011 colorway and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date. via FLUL
