Sneaker News noted the dramatic effect created by layering Electric Blue atop black on a recent Nike Air Max+ 2012 release, and today we have a slightly different manifestation of that same premise. This new womens Air Max 2012 has a bold ‘Spiderman’ look to it thanks to University Blue appearing a bit richer than usual against Bright Crimson and black accents, and it’s that red shade that creates an intriguing interplay on forefoot ventilation areas. It’s not quite purple, nor is it either of the aforementioned constituent shades, but more of a ‘sum greater than its parts’ emergence, and you can see more below before buying at retailers like Titolo.

We’re getting to the part of the calendar when you’d start to expect a few casually oriented leather styles, but instead, the Nike Air Max+ 2012 seems to be turning its attention to new two-toned colorups. This latest Electric Green pair gives us a slightly different configuration than has appeared on the past few, thanks to the black middle layer that gives the Hyperfuse upper a distinct texture. A perfect example of how there’s more to a great colorway than just which colors you combine, the newest Air Max 2012 just crossed the finish line at Titolo.

Each of the Nike Air Max+ 2012 releases over the past two or three months have eschewed the layering power of the Hyperfuse uppers in favor of more distinctly blocked styles. This newest pair is no exception, reprising the two-toned look we’ve seen on several recent drops with a colorway so integral to the Swoosh’s history it’s hard to imagine the company and its footwear offerings without thinking of a certain Chicago Bulls shooting guard. The University Red Air Max+ 2012 has an aggressive look and is yours for the taking today from Kicks-crew.

Nike Running has issued a ton of colorways for this year’s Air Max flagship model, most of which show off the Hyperfuse upper’s layering capabilities. This newest Nike Air Max+ 2012 does it so subtly you might not even notice, as the Electric Green underlay is barely visible beneath a large field of Game Royal. That energetic green gets its due on the sockliner and Max Air cushion, and along with Metallic Silver Swooshes and a white midsole, contributes to a ‘Sprite’ look (aluminum can and all) that should arrive at retailers like Titolo in October.

After the rainbow-colored ‘What the Max’ edition hit in late April, the Nike Air Max+ 2012 has proven that it can excel equally in simpler color schemes. Following up on black/gold and all-Volt colorways comes this new two-toned style pairing a black Hyperfuse upper with Total Orange on the 360-degree Max Air unit, plus a hint of silver on the Swoosh. It’s particularly easy to see them as a Cincinnati Bengals colorup with this ‘stripey’ design arriving on the precipice of the first Nike x NFL season at local retailer Corporate. Let us know what you think about its Jack-O-Lantern appeal after you’ve had a chance to see more photos and stick with Sneaker News for all the latest Air Max 2012 releases.

Since the series burst back onto the scene in 2009, we’ve seen Nike Running release its Air Max+ flagship line in an all-Volt colorway every other year. So with 2011′s mostly neon styles having only been available through a custom NIKEiD design, the pattern holds true as the Nike Air Max+ 2012 comes through with a look that could stop traffic. The use of black and white accents on these reflects those polar opposites’ gravitational force this year and show us that while the monochromatic look may have peaked sometime after 2010′s ‘Air Attack Pack’, simple palettes are still among the hottest items on the shelves at retailers like Finish Line.

The road to the Olympics is a pretty busy one at this point, featuring plenty of Air Jordans, Dunks, and now at least one pair of the Nike Air Max+ 2012. Sure this new colorway of the latest episode in the Nike Air Max series isn’t technically a tie-in but we’re pretty certain it’s no coincidence that the bubbly runner comes equipped with a gold makeup just a few months ahead of the time when that particular metal(medal) is all anyone will be talking about. Click through for the full shots of this regal looking pair and pick up the Nike Air Max+ 2012 in black/metallic right now from the good folks at Nikestore.

The words “What the…” are typically followed by a four-letter expletive, but in tomorrow’s case, that word will be anchored at three as the Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ gets ready for a retail release at select Nike Sportswear retailers. These have already hit shops in Asia a few weeks back, so by now the buzz surrounding this trio is at the perfect height for you to cash in on because we haven’t seen a dedicated set of Air Max releases in such a dazzling rainbow of colorways. Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, 2012, or 95 360 – you can’t go wrong with any one of the three, but you will go wrong by sleeping on these for too long, so be sure to be at your local NSW shop like WEST NYC tomorrow (note: Nikestore has delayed its release to the near future but all other locations will release on schedule), or cop ‘em now on eBay.
