Nike’s EXT series is now solidly as the casual line corresponding to currently running Swoosh performance models. Recent LeBron X and Kobe 8 confirmations have fortified the line, which traces its roots back to the leather variations that traditionally released toward the end of the Air Max running flagship‘s product cycle. But with the Nike Air Max+ 2013 EXT, we get the chance to rock casually-oriented colorups while the design is freshest, this new Anthracite and Total Orange another take on the two-toned template we saw first in black and red. Let us know which of these January releases is best after you’ve seen more below, then grab these today from retailers like Oneness.

If the last four years are any indication, Nike definitely has some big plans in store for the new Air Max 2013 cushion. Will it be spread out throughout Nike Sportswear and be latched on to future Griffey and Barkley models, or will it be a Running exclusive for now? The Nike Air Max 2013 USATF Pack displays the potential of the 2013 cushion on other models as we saw the Air Max 1 and Air Max 97 get redone with the new full-length Air, but let’s not stray too far from the beauty of the USATF Collection as we get a detailed look at all the sick features (tonal uppers, a carbon-fiber-like weaved tongue, and the USATF markings on the heel). Peep the detailed gallery below, and be sure to keep in tune to Sneaker News for a release date in the States.

Nike Sportswear’s casually-oriented appropriations of the Running division’s performance machines used to follow a fairly predictable cycle: give the model a boost toward the end of the product cycle with lifestyle builds as we ready for the coming year’s debut. But this trend has shifted in the last year or so, starting with the ubiquitous Free Run+ 2, then returning Air Max 2006 and 2009 Leather renditions, while the 2011 and 2012 Leathers arrived sooner with each passing year. Now we’re to the point where the nubuck-uppered Nike Air Max 2013 EXT arrives at basically the same time as the first pairs for this still-young year’s flagship runner. A perforated leather lining pushes the luxury vibe over the top on this aggressive ‘bred’ colorup, so have a closer look below and look for these at NSW retailers like Caliroots.

Nike Air has come a long way since it first opened up in Air Max form with the ’87 original. To celebrate the length and breadth of Air Max, Nike Running will release the Nike Air Max 1 2013 QS in a special Desert Yellow colorway paying tribute to USA Track & Field; this Quickstrike release features the Air Max 1 build on a Fuse/Mesh upper and the re-engineered Air Max unit found on the Air Max+ 2013. This isn’t the first time the Air Max 1 got this sort of treatment, as the Air Max 1 360 (an Air Max 1 with an Air Max 360 cushion) was unveiled in 2006 upon the debut of the first full-length Air unit. A gallery of this stunning release is just below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates as this interesting new model is part of a special pack!

The legacy of original Air Max colorways has shined brightly through Nike’s more contemporary models of the award-winning lineage, with the ‘Volt’ colorway being the most resounding theme in recent memory. This upcoming Nike Air Max+ 2013 release takes on ‘Ultramarine’, made famous by the Nike Air 180; featuring a White upper, Royal inner lining, and a a hot pink tone on the outsole, the comparison to ‘Ultramarine’ or even the Laser Pink from the Air Max 90 is quite welcoming. No word on a release date just yet, so enjoy the photos below and let us know what you think.
