There’s just one more sunset in between you and the Nike Air Max “Sunset Pack”. That is, the official release on Nikestore will happen June 1st, but the sneakers will be given away tomorrow via a couple of scavenger hunts across the US. Those hunts will be led by the likes of Amare Stoudemire out in NYC and Colin Kaepernick in SF, but of whom will be dropping clues via their respective Twitters on where you can track down the shoes. The land of the rising sun is already privy to these sneakers of the setting sun. That’s right, the Nike Air Max EM “Sunset Pack” is already starting to show up at overseas retailers like Nike Harajuku in Japan. The group consists of the Nike Air Max 1 EM, Nike Air Max 90 EM, Nike Air 180 EM, Nike Air Max 95 EM, and the Nike Air Max 97 EM. If you’re keeping track, that’s a decade of Air Max classics reworked with the Engineered Mesh touch and this burning bright colorway. A gang of Nike Air Max styles will wash up on the Beaches of Rio tomorrow, May 18th. Fortunately enough, the whole range of the sneakers will also be be arriving at a handful of Nike Sportswear accounts across the US. The group includes five separate styles, three of which are pictured here. Those three consist of the the Nike Air Max 1 EM, the Nike Air Max 90 EM, and the Nike Air Max 95 EM-all of which don some pretty colorful looks that link them up with the Rio locale. Check out the handful that will be available at Sneaker Politics tomorrow and keep in mind that there are two more on top of those that may or may not pop up at your local shop.

On May 23rd, Nike Sportswear will embark on the “Air Max Hunt” in New York City and San Francisco with the help of Nike athletes Amare Stoudemire and Colin Kaepernick. Throughout that day, Amare and Colin will drop five hints each throughout the day on their respective Twitter and Instagram pages, providing clues to direct participants to secret areas to win one of the limited-edition Nike Air Max EM “Sunset Pack” units seen here. When it comes to the Nike Air Max 90 EM, so far, we’ve come to expect OG colorways remade for the Engineered Mesh upper, or bold gradient styles taking advantage of its graphic capabilities. The latest does neither, offering a new blocking template that opts for all grey up top and a burst of fluorescent orange on the midsole and branding elements. Sneaker News continues our individual profiles of the Nike Sportswear ‘Sunset’ Engineered Mesh pack with a look at the style that falls between the two we’d examined yesterday. The ‘Sunset’ Nike Air Max 90 EM joins AM1 and 95 with the use of a scintillating orange/yellow gradient, a look that’s particularly explosive as contrasted by the AM90′s sweeping black mudguard. It’s hard to pick a favorite because all four pairs are on point, but you can enjoy some new images of the Air Max 90 EM ‘Sunset’ below while we wait for the June ship date.

The next OG colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 to get spun into a Nike Air Max 90 EM release is the “Laser Blue”. The blocking is of course one your familiar with, as the “Infrared” style did very much the same thing on the other end of the spectrum. Now it’s the blue’s turn to test the waters and our turn to see if this style will end up as coveted as the aforementioned “Infrared” that made the EM crossover.
