NIKE AIR MAX 90 HYPERFUSE The Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse is a contemporary upgrade to Tinker Hatfield’s classic Nike Air Max 90 runner. The Hyperfuse paneling is used on the upper in place of the traditional leather and mesh approach, creating a seamless look. The most coveted colorway to date has been the ‘Infrared’ mimicking the most popular blocking of the original Air Max 90.

The Air Max 1 Hyperfuse just dropped in the iconic OG blue colorup and next on Nike Sportswear’s agenda is the best known red style for the former Air Max III.  The Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse ‘Infrared’ is the latest in a long line of NSW reduxes including the Moire, Current and Huarache-infused hybrids and the upcoming ‘EM’ variation, but arguably the closest yet to that original masterpiece.   The Infrared AM90 Fuse takes just a tiny bit of the shine off last year’s Crooked Tongues BBQ exclusives, but really just spreads the love around a bit more (this is a super-limited Quickstrike release, after all).  This gives the rest of us that quintessential golden era look in a lighter, sleeker and more breathable package, and they’ll be arriving at top-tier retailers like Foot Patrol starting this Friday, July 27th.

Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Premium – Platinum – Dynamic Blue

July 3rd, 2012 by | 3 comments

nike air max 90 hyperfuse premium platinum dynamic blue 1 Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Premium Platinum Dynamic Blue

For just a moment, put aside the increased breathability and decreased weight and just focus on the aesthetics of the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse. We’ve seen a variety of styles with only a few having already hit retail, including the bold ‘What the Max’ edition, the ‘Suede Pack’ and its familiar blocking pattern, and most recently, a new pattern that sets the AM90 Fuse apart. It’s actually ‘just’ a simple two-toned template like so many popular lifestyle designs over the past few years, but as we’ve already seen on three other examples of this pattern, a crisp palette like this Platinum and Dynamic Blue combo along with Hyperfuse’s glossiness transforms ‘plain’ into ‘more than meets the eye’. You’ll find more photos after the jump, then pre-order this August release from End.

A colorway like the ‘Infrared’ Air Max 90 is so perfect it’s like throwing a perfect game in your first Major League appearance. The Infrared AM90s are so perfect that not only did swapping red for blue spawn another classic OG colorway, but recent styles have expanded the look with fresh accent shades. Elsewhere in the land of Nike Sportswear, a new standard has emerged on the updated Ninety, a simple two-toned pattern that emphasizes the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse‘s sleek build. This Premium Port and Bright Crimson pair rocks the same pattern as Stealth/Total Orange and Cargo Khaki/Volt colorups we’ve shown you in recent weeks; is this pair now available for pre-order from End the best yet?

Chances are it’ll be a pretty long time before we see a sneaker dethrone the ‘What the Max’ version of the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse as the most colorful combo on that particular model. Others are content to settle with something less than the full on rainbow treatment. Take this pair for example that does its thing with what has became the go to ‘energy color’ in the form of volt, letting the rest of the shoe tone things down with the cargo khaki selection. Click through for all the photos of this Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse and pick up a pair for yourself now at NSW spots like Oneness.

Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse – Stealth – Total Orange

nike air max 90 hyperfuse stealth total orange 1 Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Stealth Total Orange

In the seven months or so since we last saw the above pictured colorway, most of the Sneaker News on the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse front surrounded the rainbow-colored ‘What the Max’ edition or the upcoming suede-mudguarded Premiums.  But don’t forget that four different AM90 Fuses are on tap for the summer season, which means three more can’t be too far behind this Stealth and Total Orange design.  These have a bit more depth than your average two-toned shoe thanks to different finishes on the mesh and ‘overlay’ sections, and orange’s relative neutrality means a whole bunch of different lace colors can seamlessly integrate with this subtly versatile pairing, and you’ll find your pair available now at Nike Sportswear stores like Corporate.

Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ Pack – Release Reminder

May 18th, 2012 by | 5 comments

what the max reminder 1 Nike Air Max What The Max Pack Release Reminder

The words “What the…” are typically followed by a four-letter expletive, but in tomorrow’s case, that word will be anchored at three as the Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ gets ready for a retail release at select Nike Sportswear retailers. These have already hit shops in Asia a few weeks back, so by now the buzz surrounding this trio is at the perfect height for you to cash in on because we haven’t seen a dedicated set of Air Max releases in such a dazzling rainbow of colorways. Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, 2012, or 95 360 – you can’t go wrong with any one of the three, but you will go wrong by sleeping on these for too long, so be sure to be at your local NSW shop like WEST NYC tomorrow (note: Nikestore has delayed its release to the near future but all other locations will release on schedule), or cop ‘em now on eBay.
