The machine behind Nike Sportswear’s VacTech construction must be a Dyson, because where else have you seen a vacuum in the midst of the updated design of a classic upon which so many people rely? But even as funny as it might be to imagine the Nike Air Max 90 VT being assembled by hand with the help of a telescoping attachment, these three new releases are no joke. They range from a pewter-leaning Medium Grey and Anthracite leather to fuzzier fare with Anthracite reappearing in suede only to be out-textured by a woolen Midnight Fog edition, which should be available shortly. Images of all three follow your click on the jump below and the first two pairs are now available at NikeStore.

‘VacuumTechnology’. That curious translation found at the top of the latest release announcement from Tokyo’s Nike Harajuku might have you picturing one of those ball-powered Dyson cleaners. Nike Sportswear probably realized a name like that would end up with some interesting Google results, so luckily, the naming minds over in Beaverton came up with something a little snappier to match this season’s most prominent fabrication method. The NSW VacTech collection rolls on with a new slate of drops including Nike Air Force 1 Highs and Lows, an Air Max 90 to match the AF1 High and three Dunk Highs, two of which also matches AF1s. They range from all-suede to all-glossy patent leather, and you can see each of these six pairs in additional images after the jump. Let us know which model wins this round and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release dates.

VacTech treatment has been a popular mode of construction for Nike Sportswear models, as we’ve seen it hit the Air Royal Mid and Air Force 1. The seamless, one-piece upper styling of VacTech fits well with the retro style of the Royal and AF1, so how does it look on the Air Max 90 – a sneaker with far more performance design? The verdict on the Nike Air Max 90 VT is still out there, but this new Obsidian color makes a strong case for Air Max VT models, and paired with the glossy, polished finish on the upper, we may have a new ‘Lux’ line of Air Maxes for the future. Endclothing in the UK has these babies up for pre-order so check out the new images below and let us know what other Air Max models you’d like to see in VT form.

How many ways can you possibly envision a shoe? If the shoe in question is the Nike Air Max 90, the possibilities are endless. Nike Sportswear recently introduced the Nike Air Max 90 as part of the Nike Sportswear Hyperfuse Collection, but contrasting with the uber-techy appeal of Hyperfuse is VacTech, which gives the shoe a luxurious aesthetic. We’ve already shown you the glossy Obsidian VT version as well as the dark grey Wool VT, but here’s a look at a tonal-black colorway with soft suede on the VT upper; it’s almost got a city-shoe aspect to it, making these suitable for wear not just with jeans or short, but with more refined apparel. Endclothing has a pre-order available now so take a look below and let us know what you think of this October 2011 drop.

Just as it was appropriate to see the Hyperfuse update adorned in bright colors to match the summertime heat they so efficiently dissipated, the Nike Air Max 90 VT is set to drop in a series of earthy tones for the cold weather months. The latest revelation is a look regular Sneaker News readers will find familiar thanks to our preview of similarly crafted Air Force 1 and Dunk hightops. The Air Max 90 Vac-Tech looks superb in Midnight Fog wool, a material whose uneven coloring is echoed by the speckled Air bubble window. Click through to see some more shots, let us know how these rank against the other AM90 VTs we’ve seen so far, and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via atmos.

A shoe as resilient as the Nike Air Max 90 deserves some level of honor, does it not? We’ve seen it go from its original form to Current, Current Huarache, Hyperfuse, and now VT, and without complaints, the Air Max 90 will likely continue to go under the knife as Nike Sportswear expands the norms of materials and footwear construction. Vac-Tech gives the Air Max 90 a one-piece seamless look, as if it was carved from a stone into a finely polished sculpture. We already showed you the Haystack colorway, which featured the rich tan suede upper, but this new Obsidian version opts for the glossier appeal. Expect the Obsidian Nike Air Max 90 VT start hitting NSW accounts this October! via atmos.
