The land of the rising sun is already privy to these sneakers of the setting sun. That’s right, the Nike Air Max EM “Sunset Pack” is already starting to show up at overseas retailers like Nike Harajuku in Japan. The group consists of the Nike Air Max 1 EM, Nike Air Max 90 EM, Nike Air 180 EM, Nike Air Max 95 EM, and the Nike Air Max 97 EM. If you’re keeping track, that’s a decade of Air Max classics reworked with the Engineered Mesh touch and this burning bright colorway. On May 23rd, Nike Sportswear will embark on the “Air Max Hunt” in New York City and San Francisco with the help of Nike athletes Amare Stoudemire and Colin Kaepernick. Throughout that day, Amare and Colin will drop five hints each throughout the day on their respective Twitter and Instagram pages, providing clues to direct participants to secret areas to win one of the limited-edition Nike Air Max EM “Sunset Pack” units seen here. Is the “Beaches of Rio” set of Nike Air Max release going to go down with one slightly different pair than what we’ve seen in the photos to date? This Nike Air Max 95 EM didn’t appear in the official imagery for the set, but it looks to have replaced the white-based version of the 95EM. The speckling treatment is there on the sole, and there’s even a bit of “Beach” coloring as indicated by the box tag. The Nike Air Max EM releases have been subject to some impressive “Pack”-style releases thus far like the “City Pack” and the upcoming “Beaches of Rio” Collection that is set to arrive soon. Also hitting in the Summer months is the “Sunset” Pack, which utilizes the seamless Engineered Mesh upper to recreate a beautiful sunset from toe to heel. There are six total silhouettes for this Nike Air Max EM “Sunset Pack” with June releases in the works, so keep an eye out for those. In the meantime, the Nike Air Max 95 EM “Sunset” is available for pre-order at endclothing right now with a ship date in June, so check out these new photos below and let us know if you’re feeling the orange-to-yellow gradient EM upper.

As the warmer Summer months approach, we begin to close our eyes and daydream of paradise-like vacation spots – and very few can rival the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Next month, Nike Sportswear will unleash the Nike Air Max EM “Beaches of Rio” Pack, featuring the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 95, Air Max 97, and Air 180 in vivid and vibrant colorways inspired by the sights of the legendary beach scene in Rio. Nothing spells out the Summer season better than the relaxing aura of coastal beaches and clean and crispy colorways of sneakers. That’s the concept behind Nike Sportswear’s EM-laden “Beaches of Rio” Pack, which showcases four of the original Air Max models in Engineered Mesh format. The Air Max 95 of that bunch certainly captures that party-time Brazilian attitude wit the navy, orange, and pink, while the white EM upper and beige midsole provides that daytime horizon on the shore. A release date for the Nike Air Max 95 EM “Beaches of Rio” is indeed May 11th and will release on Nikestore among other NSW accounts, so check out the close-up shots below and stay tuned for more release info on the rest of the Pack.

The Nike Air Max Reinvented series of displays continues its world tour, most recently touching down at Clot’s Juice Hong Kong location. This time around the sneakers were on display in a group of connected tubes, each of them illuminated to highlight the bubbly designs within. The tubes were also decorated on the outside with graphics and copy referring to the grand Air Max lineage.
