Over the weekend we gave you a look at a catalog shot of a pair of Nike Air Max 95 EMs, but there’s a swift update to be made. Here’s a look at an actual pair of the same 95s, and clearly you can see that the toe-box was swapped out for the black suede (yes, they look dark green in the photos) to achieve that tonal look, while the Air Unit was given a burst of color with the bright orange. What’s more is that this release is part of the Nike Air Max EM ‘Honolulu’ Pack, which also features the Air Max 90 EM. We’ve got a full gallery of this impressive colorway below so take a look and stay tuned for a U.S. release on February 9th.

Following its introduction in the original ‘Neon’ colorway, the Nike Air Max 95 EM will indeed don a few more recently developed palettes. Pictured here is an orange and grey combo that’s on its way, one which abandons the gradient look up top for a simple two tone grey fade. Also of note is the speckling that lines the midsole, a little detail that has no doubt pushed folks to purchase plenty of times in the past. Sneaker News has profiled a number of ‘City Pack’ designs from Nike Sportswear’s all new Engineered Mesh capsule.  Should we take this second design with Tokyo tongue tags to indicate that the Honolulu, London and Tianjin will also get their own Nike Air Max 95 EMs?  If so, expect them to come off differently than their Air Max 90 EM counterparts; the Tokyo edition here is a clean yet sporty grey and red plus white as compared to the higher-contrast Oregon Ducks-leaning 90.  Click through for a closer look and be sure to check back with us for release info.

nike air max reinvented Nikes Air Max Reinvented

We’ve written thousands of words about the Nike Air Max running series here on Sneaker News.  Not even the most articulate sequences can fully convey the utter perfection that happens when groundbreaking technology performs great, looks even better and catches on at the exact right time.  That feeling you get when admiring one of Tinker Hatfield’s early gamechangers, Sergio Lozano’s iconic 95 or Christian Tresser’s spacey 97 — it’s the kind of magic Beaverton relives with the introduction of the Hyperfuse-equipped Nike Air Max+ 2013 and the Sportswear division’s Engineered Mesh, and they’ve channeled a bit into a dope new animated video you can see in full after the jump.
