The Nike Air Max 97 is set to suit up in the Engineered Mesh look this year, but that doesn’t mean that the Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse is suddenly going into retirement. Pictured here is a purple pair of the sneakers with a spcckled treatment hovering just above the bubble on bottom. The colorway, together with said speckles, has them looking rather close to the Nike Air Max 97 EM ’600K’ combo but there’s no word yet as to whether or not they’re officially related. Continue reading for a full view and check back with Sneaker News for the first word when this pair arrives in stores.d

The Air Max 97 never tried to fit in and this spirit has been thoroughly manifested in a series of monochromatic colorways on its Hyperfuse offspring. The Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse returns with a style similar to this summer’s orange/yellow/blue trio, achieving an all-over Gym Red look the likes of which has been quite popular in the basketball scene of late. Let us know what you think of this ‘raging’ red Air Max 97 HYP after you’ve seen more photos below and find a pair today at Nike Sportswear stockists like Oneness.

Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse “Silver Bullet” – Release Reminder

silver bullet 97 nrg release 5 Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse Silver Bullet Release Reminder

The next installment of the heritage Air Max Hyperfuse line actually skips a few beats and moves forward to 1997 when this track-field inspired runner was unveiled. Releasing tomorrow at Nike Sportwear retailers is the Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse in the original Metallic Silver aka ‘Silver Bullet’ colorway, but this skippage of models leads us to wonder if Nike will consider revisiting the other recognized History Of Air models like the Air 180, Air Max 93, Air Max 95, and even the Air Max 360. In any case, tomorrow’s the date to cop the 97s, so check out your local spot or cop them now from shihguy on eBay.

Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse Premium “Silver Bullet” – Release Date

September 12th, 2012 by | 4 comments

nike air max 97 hyperfuse premium silver bullet euro release info 1 Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse Premium Silver Bullet Release Date

Of all the modifications Nike Sportswear has applied to its classic running library in recent years, this one might just be the closest to the original design. But if you’ve owned a pair of AM97s and then pick up the newly feather-light Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse, it becomes clear the reason is not that nothing has changed in fifteen years. It’s true that the OG ‘Silver Bullet’ colorup is faithfully reproduced here on the welded mesh build, but more than evidence of a minor update, the squint-or-you’ll-miss-it shift reminds us that NSW’s techiest mainstay to this day looks the part of a contemporary performance machine. Caliroots will begin offering theirs on Friday afternoon, September 14th with the release date for US spots following on the 29th.

It wasn’t totally clear at first whether or not the whole Nike Air Max meets Hyperfuse thing was going to touch on OG colorways for each model introduced to the technology, with the Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse looking like sort of a lone wolf at first. Then the ‘Infrared’ 90 saw a wider release and now this, the Nike Air Max 97 dressing up in the classic silver bullet look with the Hyperfuse tech crammed between its lines. Stay with us after the jump to get a better look at this NRG release and keep it locked on Sneaker News to find out when this Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse makes its way to stateside retailers. Also, if you’re in Singapore Limited EDT is stocking them now.

Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse “Silver Bullet”

The Air Max 1, 90 and 95 followed the Air Force 1, Dunk and other Hyperfuse updates, but no single Nike Sportswear silhouette, running or otherwise, is a better candidate for this kind of upgrade than the one pictured above.  The Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse is a logical extension of a design so teched-out and futuristic, it has still yet to be fully accepted into the canon of ‘casual’ classic runners on the scale of the aforementioned Maxes.  That also means the AM97 Fuse makes a smoother transition, and this take on the OG ‘Silver Bullet’ colorway has a very natural feel, even without the reflective elements.  See for yourself after the jump, let us know how they compare to the ‘dipped’ Dynamic Blue and Total Orange joints that dropped earlier in the summer, and stick with Sneaker News for release info as these have started to show up at select Asian retailers.

Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse “Volt”

August 13th, 2012 by | No comments

nike air max 97 hyperfuse volt Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse Volt

From the track and field events to the medal stand ceremonies, Nike made sure that its electric “Volt” tone was the color of the Olympics, the super bright yellow green mixture becoming instantly recognizable after London 2012. And while the 30th Olympiad saw mostly new-era runners equipped with the color, that’s not to say that retro pairs can’t enjoy it as well. Case in point is the Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse shown here (not to be confused with the quite similar CVS version) which puts on about as much color as the model possibly can in tune with the other singly blocked pairs. Continue reading for more of the volt Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse and stay with Sneaker News to find out when they arrive stateside.
