2005′s ‘Wheat’ Total Air Foamposite Max was a victim of unfortunate timing, having arrived seven years after the model had a factory-fresh wow factor and about four before the Foam craze as we currently know it really caught hold. Pictured above is a model that carries the torch of full-length Max Air paired with an organic Foam on the uppers, and with the addition of Fuse ventilation, this Team Brown and Total Orange take on the Nike Air Max Hyperposite is the closest thing we’ve seen since those Timbo-colored Tim Duncans. The rich coppery effect of this simple yet effective earthy color combo has already shown up in the young NBA season and we’ll let you know when they’re set to arrive at US Nike Basketball retailers.

We recently hit you with release information for the ‘Statue of Liberty’ joints, but what about these Knicks-inspired NYC joints? Unfortunately, no info has surfaced, but with basketball season in full-swing and the Knicks playing at a top level, these have to be as hot an item as we’ve seen right now. Colored in classic Royal and Orange with an NYC print done “all-over” style on the upper lace placket, the Hyperposites are near the top of “waiting on a release date” list. With all the recent attention toward camouflage print on Foamposite material, we’re on the hunt to see what other kinds of patterns will follow in the ‘Galaxy’ and ‘Paranorman’s massive footsteps. On the completely opposite end of the spectrum is a brand new performance model that has a woodsy/hunting vibe of its own, as the Nike Air Max Hyperposite‘s sweeping lines and technical flourishes make the most out of a potentially drab brown and orange combo (heck, Shannon Brown’s pair even made last night’s sluggish Suns/Warriors tip more interesting). Another weekend of top-shelf NBA action in Pre-Season form went down, and if the collection of on-feet fire is any indication as to how great the 2012-2013 will be, we might be in for the best season of Sneaker News NBA Feet yet. Leading the charge is Monta Ellis, who broke out the Air Jordan VII ‘Hare’ against Jordan Crawford and his KD IV ‘N7′, but don’t overlook Jeff Green’s surprising Nike Air 1/2 Cent selection (seriously, when is the last time we saw that on court?). Brooklyn’s Josh Childress broke out the Air Jordan XI IE Low, Ekpe Udoh of the Bucks wore the Liverpool LeBron 9 Low, and Nick Young went Cough Drops again. After the Amar’e Stoudemire pair that just hit retailers this weekend, there are even more Nike Air Max Hyperposite releases tying in with NYC, no doubt the most exciting of the bunch being the ‘Statue of Liberty’ shown here. The pair approaches that rusty green motif like none other before it, flecking the upper with that copper tone and then bringing it back again for the icy outsole on bottom.
