Nike Air Max Plus
The Nike Air Max Plus is a running shoe designed by Sean McDowell that takes its design inspiration from palm trees swaying in the wind in Florida during sunset. Its midfoot shank was designed with a whale’s breaching tail in mind, keeping the nautical themes at the forefront. hat unique upper design has gone on to inspire the design of other Nike models since, the Nike Vapormax Plus standing out as arguably the most popular one to do so.
Designed in 1998, the Air Max Plus is in the midst its 25th anniversary and will continue to be released in a number of new colorways. Importantly, 2024 also brought the Nike Air Max Plus Drift into the mix as a new spinoff, adding weight to the celebration of the growingly influential model.
