The Nike Air Mission is a sneaker that’s made fans of the Junior Seau shoe wait a little bit longer than they’d initially planned. Little by little though, they have been arriving at retailers. Up next for the sneakers is this colorway that looks rather like that first up black/white/blue that released back in March. This time around the shoes again stick with a baseline black/white combo for the upper while sliding in a little bit of court purple across the bottom. Get a better look at them after the break and then pick up your pair of Nike Air Missions before the rest before your peers from comet_trail_sports on eBay.

There’s another pair of Nike Air Missions up for grabs that mixes up black, white, and university red. This new colorway pulls the attention away from the red sections, and approaches the upper with an entirely different color blocking. This time around the front and back half are more broken up by the saddle at the mid-foot area, whereas previous pairs sort of split things more on the horizontal plane. Take a look at these Junior Seau joints with us below and then grab the old school Nike Football offering from Rock City Kicks.

We’re in a new age of Nike/NFL tie-ins now that the sportswear giant has the outfitting rights for the league. The five year contract started back in April of 2012 and immediately had an effect on Nike’s sneaker output. Let’s not forget though that the brand has long been committed to the idea of gridiron sneakers. In fact, University of Oregon quarterback Dan Fouts was one of the first athletes Knight and co. got to wear their sneakers outside of their circle of track stars. Back then, pairs like the Nike Astro Grabber with its waffle kit on bottom and the Nike Turfster with its more straightforward cleat design proved as early as 1972 that Nike meant business in the football footwear realm.

Yes the Super Bowl is only a couple days away, but it looks like there are even more Super Bowl Nikes that we’d previously not known about. Shown here are the Nike Air Mission and the Nike DT Max ’96, both sneakers with a football connection, in colorways that look an awful lot like “Silver Speed” ones. What’s interesting is that the pairs have only been spotted in GS sizes so far, which would make them a particularly curious entry into the larger group of Nike Superbowl shoes. Get a look at the both below and keep in mind you can pick either up at Oneness today.
