Has there ever been a better season for patriotic footwear? The Beaverton team is killing it this summer, with one of the more exciting archs of their Olympic plans being the “Dream Team” set of sneakers that serve to resurrect a few classic basketball models that are no stranger to that international stage. We’re not here to posit a flat out best release among them but it’s hard not be excited for these two: the Nike Air Force 180 and the Nike Air More Uptempo, a couple of key styles that have built a lot more buzz than usual thanks in part to their united execution of the American look. If you’ve got both on your must have list you’re in luck, as we’ve spotted a size 9 sample set of the Nike Air Force 180 “Dream Team” and the Nike Air More Uptempo “Dream Team” up for grabs now. Hit the jump for the latest photos and then check out the auction from al6is on eBay.

Yes, the Olympic stage has long been one where companies are eager to show off their new advances in footwear technology, but we’ve gotta say that for 2012 it’s the old rather than the new that really has our attention. Amongst the “Dream Team” designated sneakers, all of which have played a part in the Summer Games at one point or another in their long history, is this Pippen pair from ’96 that takes “Max” up a level to “More”, famously striping the namesake technology across the side of the shoe. Click through for the latest angles of this USA favorite and pick up the Nike Air More Uptempo “Dream Team” on preorder now from Titolo.

To celebrate Team USA Basketball and its legendary dominance of international basketball, Nike will release the ‘Dream Team’ Collection, highlighting four memorable sneakers that utilized the Olympic Games as a podium. One of the four is the Air More Uptempo, worn by Scottie Pippen during the ’96 Games; these actually released as a House of Hoops exclusive in 2010 and looks to make a quick comeback – not that anyone is complaining.
