Wednesday’s release of the ‘Dolphins’ has Penny fans excited for what else could be in store for the Penny V, so how about this sick ‘Sunburst’? Matched with a solid black interior and midsole/outsole combo, the super-vibrant Sunburst shines through like a hot-spot in outerspace. The color is a mix of a bright orange and red, making for one of the most visually energizing Penny V colorways we’ve seen thus far. The celebrated combo of Teal and Orange dubbed ‘Dolphins’ has risen to become one of the trendiest colorways in footwear right now. Not to say that those Miami colors haven’t always been popular, but thank LeBron and his winning ways in Miami for the revival. Time to close out the week with the best NBA Feet recaps out there! To review the last two nights, let’s start with the usual suspects: Nate Robinson brought out the Air Jordan V from the Collezione Package in his showdown against the Suns, and Lamar Odom went the Motorboat Jones route against the Heat. The Air Penny V appears to be a popular choice among NBA players, while the Zoom Rookie in the Binary Blue colorway popped up on the feet of Charlotte’s Reggie Williams. Jeff Green of the Celtics stole some of Rondo’s spotlight with the Air Jordan XI ‘Silver Anniversary’, while Ty Lawson went with the ‘Taxi’ Elite 9 to match Denver’s alternates. We’re pretty sure that he didn’t do away with the rest of his collection, but it looks like Gilbert Arenas had to go through that sort of agonizing packing for his recent move out to China. Chapter two of Anfernee Hardaway’s career starts in the desert after a trade sent Penny packing his belonging in Orlando to join Jason Kidd as part of a formidable 1-2 backcourt punch. That explains the various Suns-inspired colorways of Penny-branded Nikes, like this next-in-line colorway of the Nike Air Penny V; it features a sick mix of Court Purple and Rave Pink that forms a snazzy gradient on the midsole, much like the Air Force 180 Mid in the similar colorway. These are beginning to arrive at retailers as the release date is targeted for November 3rd (two Saturdays from now), so check out the new images below and let us know if this is the best Penny V to date.
