After last weekend’s much-appreciated release of the Chlorophyll Air Trainer 1, Nike Sportswear has a new colorway for you to enjoy now that we’ve gotten our complete fill of AT1s. For mid-November, a Midnight Navy/Wolf Grey-Obsidian-Tour Yellow colorway will hit stores, drawing inspiration from OG ‘Michigan’-inspired colorways. These, however, adopt more of a contemporary color-blocking appeal, with the Midnight Navy/Obsidian upper being offset with the Wolf Grey Swoosh and strap. November 14th is the official release date for these, so take a look below and let us know what you think.

Revis may be sitting remotely on an island called “Injured Reserve”, but there’s still a lot to look forward to for Darrelle’s off-the-field endeavors – specifically the launch of his signature Nike Zoom Revis 1. Nike’s continued emphasis on this elite-level defensive back continues with this special PE version of the Nike Air Trainer 1, featuring Revis’ ’24′ jersey number and ‘Revis Island’ embroidered on the heel, with an added spark in the form of a reflective Swoosh and outrigger. These appear to be a one-of-one PE for Revis, but perhaps a release might turn up as we near the official unveiling of the Zoom Revis 1 and the end of the Air Trainer 1′s 25th Anniversary? How old were you when the Nike Air Trainer 1 ‘Chlorophyll’ first came out? We’d suspect that most of our audience wasn’t big enough at that time to fit into an adult size pair, but there’s a chance that some of you rocked these, the pre-school version of the John McEnroe endorsed Air Trainer 1. As is often the case with the super small sizes, the vintage pair loses out on some of the details, most notably missing the midfoot strap. In celebration of the re-release of the original ‘Chlorophyll’ colorway of the Nike Air Trainer 1, it’s about time we look back at 25 years of the model, no? Air Trainer 1s were few and far in-between over the last few years, but the model wasn’t entirely absent thanks to the many Retro releases in the early-2000′s. A bunch of GRs sprinkled with some nicely designed models like the ‘Shima’ Pack and the ‘Safari’ sprouted during the first few years of the new millenium, and Complex just included a bunch of them in their list of 25 best AT1s. Which is your favorite Air Trainer 1 of all-time? We’d like to hear.

Of all the sneakers to be excited about in 2012, the OG colorway of the Air Trainer 1 might stand on an island of its own. This model hasn’t seen much of the spotlight over the last few years with the exception of a Euro exclusive here and there, but Nike certainly hasn’t been shy about the releases this year, with it being the 25th Anniversary and all. Starting off on a high note with the ‘Safari’ a few months back, Nike keeps up the pace and hits us with the Chlorophyll for yet another Retro release. These will be at Nike Sportswear retailers next weekend release date, but these also just popped up at Packer Shoes right now so let us know if you plan on copping these once the official release date arrives.
