Nike Sportswear has made good on some built-up potential this year, satisfying longtime collectors with an unprecedented variety in retro training models. We were thrilled to see models like the Air Trainer Max 91 and Air Trainer SC II come back onto the scene, and perhaps it was the success of the mid-noughties release of the Nike Air Trainer Max 2 ’94 that helped pave the way for these past couple years. The ATM2 94s are back in a new colorway that adds the popular Treasure Blue shade to a white and black base for a look you might have expected to see a young Penny Hardaway wearing a generation ago. Another week of new sneaker releases are upon us, but have you kept on pace? It may be difficult (and at times, pesky) to keep up with all the fresh releases, but that’s what the Sneaker News Weekly Buyer’s Guide is here for – to give you a quick rundown of what’s fresh out of the oven. Nike SB’s June 2011 releases just became available (that ‘Send Help’ SB Dunk Mid is looking great) as did the Grey/Neon colorway of the Air Max JR.
