LeBron James’ wear of the Red October Yeezy 2s just might have inspired a currently Cleveland Cavs player. It was Kyrie Irving who this time showed off his pair of Air Yeezys, doing so while out at a Nike Basketball event in Hong Kong. Of course he also had some exclusives on feet that stuck with the red formula in the form of that Nike Hyperdunk 2014 PE that you can see after the break. Take a look at the evidence below and then tell us in the comments which of Kyrie’s red sneakers you’re feeling more.

How Much Are All The Nike Air Yeezys Worth?

every nike air yeezy release How Much Are All The Nike Air Yeezys Worth?

How much would you be willing to pay for every single pair of Air Yeezys that’s seen a retail release? The current buy it now price on this auction, which captures all six from the first “Zen Grey” Yeezy 1 all the way to the surprise “Red October” Yeezy 2s, has an astronomical buy it now price of $99,999. We’re not expecting them to sell that much, but it certainly poses an interesting question regarding the eventual price ceiling on these Kanye West sneakers. If you think about it, the phenomena of Kanye sneakers has sort of just started given his bubbling adidas deal, so it’s possible that the Air Yeezy will in the future be even furthered revered as just the first chapter to this long lineage. Even bringing the bar much lower to say, $30,000 for the set would even out to 5k per pair – which is below the going rate at Flight Club for each, but you’ve got to factor in a massive finder’s fee here. Take a look at the full set below and then check out the auction for yourself from jonallon80 on eBay.

It’s gotta hurt to have Kanye himself tell you that your Red October Yeezy 2s aren’t real. That’s what happened to one West fan who ran up on him out in the street and eagerly forked over his pair for signing purposes. The clip shown here has Kanye West autographing them anyway before breaking the heart of their owner by saying “These are not real though, you know that right?” Continue reading to see the slightly sad, slightly funny clip, and remember to watch out next time you see an autographed pair of “Red Octobers” on eBay.

If you’re Kanye West, how do you approach the subject of signing a pair of Red October Yeezy 2s for a fan? You don’t want to turn anybody down, but we’d imagine it would be sort of awkward at this point to put your signature on a pair of Swoosh shoes after the adidas partnership. Where along that timeline this pair was blessed with Ye’s own writing remains unclear, but they appear to be the real deal upon comparison of signatures from this and previous charity auctions. Get the rest of the photos after the click and tell us in the comments if you think this Air Yeezy piece of memorabilia is worth the current price from this listing by frankmastertank on eBay.

The Barlcays Center floor has been home to “Red October” Yeezy 2 sightings before – most notably it was Geno Smith who was spotted courtside with a pair way ahead of their retail release that was immediately called into question by the sneaker-loving internet. From Campouts to Photo Verification: How Nike Changed Sneaker Releases Forever

nike sneaker purchasing process changes 07 From Campouts to Photo Verification: How Nike Changed Sneaker Releases Forever

With every passing year, the hoops that must be jumped through in order to obtain a pair of limited or highly-coveted sneakers are rearranged to reflect the still-growing community of sneakerheads worldwide. At the dawn of the era it was all about the campout; you’d set your chair, sleeping bag, or woodland-grade tent up and play the waiting game for hours, or days, at a time in order to grab that pair of Nike SB Dunks, Air Maxes, or what have you. It could only last for so long though, and as the 2000s progressed, lines continued to get longer and episodes of sneaker mayhem at major releases seemed less and less like isolated events. A change had to be made, and it was industry leader Nike that decided to put the much-needed change into place.
