While the greater American public tends to get a bit squirmy over increased airport security because of the whole “encroaching on civil liberties” thing, sneaker fiends have an extra reason to sweat right before we reach that metal detector before a flight. Kanye West gets acclimated with that in this short clip, hitting JFK with Kim Kardashian and forced to run his prized Nike Air Yeezy 2′s through the x-ray machine. You might panic a bit as they nearly get smashed by another piece of luggage, but we promise it ends well. We’ve seen how stuntin’ in Nike Air Yeezy 2s can literally extend to skateboarding, but what about a world-class tennis match in this Air Tech Challenge-soled lifestyle blockbuster? Nike Tennis star and arguably the greatest to ever pick up a racquet, Roger Federer wasn’t smashing aces in the ‘Solar Red’ Air Yeezy 2, but was instead spotted holding court in London with his wife Mirka, getting comfy with the British fog in advance of next week’s Wimbledon start. Federer is known for having some of the most technically advanced sneakers on the market but this is the first we’ve seen of him in our Celebrity Feet feature; might this appearance be the kind of thing he needs, or will Andre Agassi’s sneaker legacy remain untopped?
