Nike has long been known to borrow both colorways and technology from some of their popular shoes and use them on other models, creating new hybrid silhouettes. With this Dunk Free, Nike has chosen to do both of these things by utilizing Nike Free technology, and using a colorway inspired by the recently retro’d “Hot Lava” Nike Air Tech Challenge II. While the “Hot Lava” influence can be seen throughout the shoes colorway, the true sign of inspiration is in the graphic featured on the swoosh, which is taken directly from the Air Tech Challenge. Let us know in the comments how you feel about these and pick them today from the Nikestore.

The Nike Dunk High is back with the first inline colorway since the June debut pack. Following up on pairs inspired by New York and Paris is one that borrows the beloved Air Jordan Elephant print for its purple-outlined Swooshes on a black makeup with a minty green peeking through its Hyperfuse panels. These go a bit further than the first drops but don’t get quite as wild as the ‘Tiger’ edition for which we’re still waiting. There’s no delay on this pair, which is depicted further after the jump and available for purchase right now from NikeStore.

nike dunk free greenwich Nike Dunk Free Greenwich

The Nike Dunk Free “Greenwich” shown here is a sneaker that could be interpreted in a couple different ways. The shoe looks a lot like the Nike Dunk Free “21 Mercer” shown off last week, a pair ostensibly inspired by the neighboring buildings from that NSW spot’s SoHo neighborhood. But here they’re labeled as “Greenwich”, a name which just might be reference a little meridian battle that went on between the Prime Meridian and the Paris Meridian. Continue reading to get a full look at the pair and watch for them to release, along with the Nike Dunk Free “Arago”, this Thursday, August 20th, at 21 Mercer.

Releasing this Thursday at 21 Mercer in NYC is a group of special Nike Dunk Free releases. This latest pair, dubbed “Arago” in the accompanying caption, is one whose background is a little unclear. The connection here may come in the form of the Aragao Medallions, a memorial set in Paris that lays along the Paris meridian line, making it a sort of fresh take on the whole “City Pack” approach. Continue reading to see the full shot of the sneakers and stay tuned with us for more info on similar pairs that will be hitting at 21 Mercer this week.

Nike Sportswear’s flagship location in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood is about to be immortalized on the Nike Dunk Free silhouette. The pair pictured is inspired by that spot and the architecture of its neighborhood and even features a cool bit of 21 Mercer branding on the back pull tabs. Details on the shoe remain slim at this point, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the shop let go some additional imagery ahead of their launch. Give us your thoughts on this upcoming Nike Dunk Free “21 Mercer” release and watch for the sneakers to hit that store next Thursday, August 29th.

The upcoming “Tiger” Hyperflights will be accompanied by the newly released Nike Dunk Free, seen here in a matching black/grey/orange colorway. The Dunk Free, however, takes a much more subtler approach by using the catchy stripes only on the Swoosh while utilizing a basic color-blocking throughout the rest of the shoe. It’s likely that similar Dunk Frees will release to coincide with the “Shark” and “Lion” Hyperflights, so in the meantime, check out the additional photos below and stay tuned for more updates.

The outsole on Nike sportswear’s various retro silhouettes is usually one of the last things to get switched around in the long process of modernizing a classic design. The Nike Dunk for example has had all sorts of VT and Hyperfuse versions over the past couple of years, and it’s only now that the immediately recognizable kit on bottom gets switched out for a more movement friendly Nike Free treatment. Of course the upper is indeed tweaked too, as there’s a bit of Fuse and Foam going on across the top as well. See this new Nike Dunk Free colorway in better detail below and stay tuned to find out when they’ll be in the states.
