NIKE DUNK HIGH The Nike Dunk High was a basketball sneaker that debuted in 1986. It was one of the most popular sneakers of the 2000′s and was one of the original models of Nike Skateboarding. The most popular Nike Dunk High is the Be True To Your School Pack.

Nike Dunk High USAB University Red

This year, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Dream Team, but if it weren’t for the April 1989 decision to allow professional players into the Olympics, none of our nostalgia would have a base of reference. USAB has dominated international basketball ever since, and this new Nike Dunk High looks back to those Barcelona Games with a University Red mixture of ripstop nylon and leather whose tongue tag transports anyone old enough to have seen its first run, instantly back to the summer of ’92. Click through to see how select navy accents and a white midsole finish the patriotic look and grab a pair from Nike Sportswear shops including Burner.

Nike Dunk High GS White Soar Siren Red

With the Olympic season right around the corner we’re about to be buried in Summer Games styled color ups. Is this one of them? Well not exactly, but the pastel pairings found on the upper of this Nike Dunk High GS do have a five ringed feel, being just a shade of green short from completing that symbolic palette. Even without the tie-in though the sneaker stands on its own, another colorful option for the GS set that crams in a good number of differing materials on the upper. If you like what you see here then hit the jump for the full view, and if you like what you see there then get in touch with the folks at Oneness to grab a pair for yourself.

Nike Dunk High Denim Pack

Earlier this month, we a first look at a Nike Dunk High whose upper was split from front to back.  It just so happened to be a grey-on-grey combo in that case, but what that pair’s tonal construction may have slightly obscured is that each of the three released in this style are two-thirds denim twill.  It’s most evident on the Jersey Gold and Iguana pair, but the Red Mahogany edition also hits with more of a contrast than the Wolf and Cool Greys.  This also happens to put them squarely in the wheelhouse of the recent Air Force 1s that earned the same pack title, so fans of both sides of this decades-long friendly rivalry will have their pick this season.  Check out all three below, then head to a Nike Sportswear dealer like RockCityKicks to get yours today.

NFL x Nike Dunk High & Low – AFC SOUTH

The first pick in the NFL Draft has been somewhat anticlimactic for the past several years since rules changed to allow the number one pick exclusive pre-draft signing rights.  The days of an Eli-fueled free-for-all are all but gone, and instead we know already that Andrew Luck is set to replace Peyton Manning as the Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback.  Luck enters the league the same year Nike gets exclusive licensing rights to NFL products, and along with the new jerseys everyone’s buzzing about, we’ve seen a ton of Nike x NFL sneakers today, arranged into packs by division.  For the Colts and the rest of the AFC South, it’s the Nike Dunk in both High (Indianapolis and Houston Texans) and Low (Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans), a split unique to the entire eight-division collection.  The Highs are done in a very clean blocking pattern while the lows go for a bit more contrast; is it possible to put aside your rooting interests to decide which ones are the best looking kicks?  Let us know what you feel with regard to both aspects and stick with Sneaker News for the NFC West and South.

Nike Dunk High Fall 2012

The front/back two-tone split is among the key looks for the Nike Dunk High this year, but just as we’ve seen countless tiny twists on the classic ‘BeTrue’ style, there are plenty of other ways to make up a new pair. Three distinct recipes are at work on this quartet of new releases, with two sharing another fresh new template, one giving us an outlined Swoosh like some of the best Nike SB drops and the last pair one degree away from BTTYS in Oakland Raiders colors. All four can be seen in greater detail below, so check them out and let us know which one(s) you’ll cop. Photos: Kumastock

Nike Air Force 1 Low + Dunk High Olympic Pack

Dreams of all types will be realized this August in London as the world stage gears up for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. During this grand occasion, Nike makes a concerted effort to pay tribute to its greatest athletes of the world, and there may be no better grouping than the 1992 Dream Team that dominated the game of basketball. We’ve seen quite a few impressive products thus far, like last night’s Gold Medal Pack and the NSW Dream Team Collection, but Nike has also chosen to go the simple route by producing this sick pack of NSW staples in the Air Force 1 Low and Dunk High, representing the iconic ’92 squad and the city that hosted the Dream Team to the top of the podium.

Last night, we gave you a quick teaser look at the two Dunk High releases; the USA Dunk High features a tonal red package with rip-stop nylon on the upper and the ‘USA’ tongue label, while the complementary Barcelona version matched Black and Red synthetic leather uppers with a yellow tongue. The Air Force 1 USA adopts a solid Navy upper with a regal Metallic Gold swoosh and the all-American gum outsole, while the Barcelona pair uses its own rendition of tonal red with a faux carbon fiber at the heel. These are likely to drop during the Fall 2012 season in time for the Games, so take a look at the gallery below and we’ll keep you updated with release information. Photos: kumastock
