Liberty London has hit us off with a variety of patterned fabrics over the course of their partnership with Nike Sportswear. The Denise Eva floral look has been the go-to for 2013, a pattern whose name has naturally led some to believe ‘she’ is the designer behind these collabs. This latest Liberty x Nike WMNS Dunk Sky High applies a dark version of the material in question a la Air Force 1 Downtown LIB, but with a concealed heel wedge, these smaller sizes are distinctly for the lady sneakerhead. After a strong showing in late 2011, we haven’t seen much from Nike Sportswear’s VacTech series. Among the styles in that capsule was the Dunk High, a model whose VT build we see combined with another recent Dunk variation in this latest release. The Nike WMNS Dunk Sky High VT has a heel wedge hidden in the VacTech-sealed heel, so along with the timely caramel/mint colorway, you also get a few extra inches and all that goes along with that perched posture, except with the extra stability of the time-tested Dunk sole. Liberty London got away from the floral looks that’d typified their Nike Sportswear collaborations with a new round relying upon a staticky multicolor print. It’s both a timely look and one that finds harmony with in-house NSW releases for 2013, as the Liberty x Nike WMNS Dunk Sky High shows us the rare occasion where the look of a busted LCD is quite beautiful. Framed in a tonal pink application of a similar pattern along with white Swoosh/tongue/midsole and gum outsole, you can see this latest Dunk Sky High LIB after the jump, then grab yours at select retailers like Concepts.

The partnership between Liberty of London and Nike is one we’ve come to count on as one of the strongest sources for WMNS releases over the past couple of years. Again satisfying the female sneakerheads is the May 2013 crop, which includes the Nike Dunk Sky High and the Nike Free 5.0 V4. Both pairs feature a colorful static look across there uppers that is probably pretty far from the floral stuff you’ve come to associate the most with the fabric house. The ladies will be getting their own special set of sneakers amongst all of the ‘Year of the Snake’ goodies in the form of the Nike Dunk Sky Hi and the Nike Air Max 1. Both of the pairs are outfitted with the same linen and metallic gold colorway, and both put on reptilian skin as a nod to the Chinese zodiac. A model that’d been released with relatively quiet in-house designs and a couple of Liberty London collaborations, the Nike WMNS Dunk Sky High made a big splash this week when the ‘City Pack’ quintet was revealed. This women’s Dunk with the hidden heel wedge will begin its gradual rollout with the New York edition pictured above, a black and metallic silver design whose pebbled look is somewhere between the texture on a basketball and the sequined approach you might expect when first seeing these from a distance. More Nike Sportswear and Liberty London this spring as the muted floral pattern we’ve seen pop up on a few designs expands its range with another familiar silhouette. Liberty continues their dominance over the Nike WMNS Dunk Sky High, the ingenious combination of ‘Be True’ basketball styling and a concealed heel wedge whose collabo CV they’ve monopolized.
