Eric Koston’s series of Nike SB sneakers isn’t quite done doing the mashup thing with Nike’s Air Max heritage. Shown here is a revamped version of the relatively new Nike Eric Koston 2 that features a Nike Air Max 1 style bag across the bottom. That’s not all that’s going on though, there’s also some Nike Free looking nubs along the front end and another AM1 looking detail wrapping the toebox shape. No word yet on a retail release, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see them in stores given the precedent set by the Nike Koston Heritage. Nike SB has made sure that folks the world over are aware of the arrival of the new Nike Eric Koston 2. While an official release went down in LA this week, they also held down France with this special skatepark buildout up in Montreuil. The space was decorated with all sorts of Koston branded imagery and of course had his new sneaker on display for the wood pushers in the building to marvel at. You already know what the Nike Eric Koston 2 is capable of thanks to that spot from the Nike SB team last week in which he eludes Segway cops, saves a baby, and more. So if that glowing endorsement of the sneaker isn’t enough for you then we don’t know what is. The next colorway we’ve got a look at is this, a muted mixture of wolf grey and gum medium brown with just a little bit of white accenting. See more angles on the Nike Eric Koston 2, which has an official release date of April 1st, and pick them up at little ahead of schedule from Flatspot if you so desire.

You’ll recall that Tiger Woods popped up in the recent “The Legend Grows” spot helping to spin the tall tale of Eric Koston’s achievements. The appearance was no doubt influenced to some extent by Koston’s love of the game of golf, a love that apparently has resulted in the creation of this weird golf spike that’s got the same overall shape and stitching as the new Nike Eric Koston 2. See a couple extra angles right after the jump and get a behind the scenes look at his recent commercial, which even features Tiger himself hitting the pair with his signature.

Just how good is Eric Koston? Just how hard did he tear down your local skate spot when he rolled through town? This hilarious new spot, featuring the Nike Koston 2 on feet of course, approaches that very subject from a slapstick angle. The story starts off small enough as a couple of kids discuss Koston’s skills, only for the tale to grow taller as stars like Tiger Woods, Kyrie Irving, Neymar Jr., Allyson Felix, and Danny Kass manage to amplify what actually happened to the point where you’ve got Koston eluding police, getting shot at, and saving a baby’s life during a line. The all new signature sneaker for street skate legend Eric Koston is very much informed by the man’s rigorous routine, with elements like the breathable upper and the lockdown fit listed as a must from Koston during the design process. While the Nike Eric Koston 2 isn’t on any official Nike release calenders until the month of April, it appears that one pink based pair will be creeping up before that for a March release. Pictured here is that very pair, which utilizes a standard black and white pairing for the supporting cast after splashing on that head turning pink across the soft suede upper. The Nike Eric Koston 2 will release on April 1st of 2013. The sneaker should be arriving right when the snow expires for skaters in the less-lucky regions of the US that actually have to deal with winter. On deck for its debut are three colorways that all keep things in line with the clean looks we’ve come to expect from Koston’s relatively young line.
