Nike Flyknit fans are no doubt familiar with the temptations of picking up a “USA” branded pair. Earlier this year it was the Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB that teased us with that Olympian-exclusive branding and before that it was this Nike Flyknit Trainer. You’ll remember that they were part of the official medal stand kit for US athletes at the 2012 London Olympics. They’re more or less the same as the retail version of the volt/black colorway of the Trainer, but they’ve got the juicy patriotic details like the “USA” on the tongue, the star on the back, and the “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave” insoles. Continue reading to see this special Flyknit USA pair and then bid on them from 30four on eBay.

kanye main 02b 1 A Sneaker by Sneaker Breakdown of Kanye Wests Footwear Influence

It’s almost impossible to ignore the massive influence that Kanye West has had on the sneaker industry and the way its consumers choose their products. His footwear selections and tendencies were quickly imprinted into the collective conscious of his fanbase, but more importantly, they sent the industry as a whole back to the drawing board in an effort to bring products that aligned with his thinking. Of course, the pop culture megastar was just like everyone else when the sneaker culture was in its neophytic stages; he merely wore what he liked, steadily rotating Air Jordans, Air Max 1s, and Air Force 1s, but as his career began to “touch the sky”, so did his personal tastes.

The Nike Flyknit category is about to get a little bit bigger. The model here is a bit of a confusing one in terms of nomenclature though. On the tongue they’re being billed as the Nike Flyknit Lunar 1, but keep in mind that there’s already a silhouette with that name on the market. On top of that, we’ve also seen the silhouette billed as the Nike Flyknit Trainer, which makes just a little more sense given the similar HTM styles that we’ve seen release in the past. Continue reading for the full set of images and remember that they’re up for grabs now at TGWO.
