nike flyknit release reminder july Nike Flyknit Racer + Trainer Release Reminder

It’s been a few years since Nike came through with a completely fresh idea, but the elongated stretch of time that was spent in Flyknit R&D certainly makes the wait all the more worth it. Tomorrow, Nike will launch the first wide general release of the Nike Flyknit in two models – the Flyknit Racer (two colorways) and the Flyknit Trainer (a whopping 10 colorways); Flyknit, as you know debuted in late February with a soft launch of the uber-limited HTM collection, so if you were one of the many Flyknit fans that missed out on any other three Collections (the third HTM Flyknit Collection dropped this morning at 1948), Nikestore will stock the entire collection tomorrow as will Nike locations like 21 Mercer and Nike Fukuoka in Japan. Continue reading for a final review of all twelve colorways and let us know which of the bunch is your favorite.

Nike Flyknit Trainer – Volt – Orange

July 20th, 2012 by | 1 comment

nike flyknit trainer volt orange Nike Flyknit Trainer Volt Orange

The current state of Nike Innovation focuses more on ‘re-invention’ rather than anything else, and the Flyknit is the perfect example of re-inventing an already perfect sneaker into something visually and technically stunning. Nike Sportswear recently showcased the new innovation at the Flyknit Collective Workshop No. 2 in New York City recently, and it was there that this sick new multi-colored Flyknit Trainer was spotted. The true potential of Flyknit is just at its beginning stages of being tapped, so where Flyknit could end up all depends on how far Nike decides to stretch it – even Creative Director Ben Shaffer doesn’t count out a potential Nike SB Flyknit (although it would seem that Flyknit wasn’t built to withstand the high level of wear-and-tear experienced in skating). Your thoughts on this sick new colorway of the Flyknit Trainer and the potential of Flyknit across multiple sports? Let us know what you think and find out more as Complex sits down to talk Flyknit with Nike’s Todd Jordan (former SB rider).
