Nike’s current celebration of all things Nike Free seems to be a global one. Recently held out in China was a media summit hosted by Nike Running featuring heralded athletes like Aries Meritt and Liu Jiayu, Chinese actresses like Re Yizha and Chen Ra, and of course new silhouettes like the Nike Free OG Superior and the Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit that will be amongst the next wave of Natural Motion designs from the brand. We’re ten years in to the Nike Free revolution, and my how things have changed. From a totally novel concept some people considered too crazy to even try, the barefoot running market has firmly established itself and welcomes innovation just like the traditional cushioned segment.
