Just an hour ago Sneaker News unveiled to you the Calvin Johnson x Nike “Megatron CJ81″ Collection, which featured a slick grouping of footwear, apparel, and on-field football gear. If you thought the Flyposites were dope, here’s a closer look at the Huarache Free Shield; it features the same astounding grid pattern on the matter, matched with blue and purple speckled midsoles and Megatron branding on the tongue and mid-foot strap. No confirmed release date has been set, although the entire CJ81 Collection will start hitting select Nike retailers and Champs Yardline tores this Friday. Right now, the Yankees can use any help they can get. It sure would help if their $20 million+ third-baseman would get a base hit here and there, but with another benching expected for Game 4 (going down in just an hour) and rumors of a potential off-season trade to the Miami Marlins, this might be the last we’ll see from said third baseman. However, superstitious folks will point to the infamous Red Sox come-back in 2004, when the Beantown boys won four straight after going down 0-3 in the that ALCS. Could it happen? Well, the Boston Red Sox won four straight after Game 4 of the ’04 ALCS was rained out as well *cue Twilight Zone theme music*.
