Over the Christmas weekend, we gave you a look at a Pau Gasol Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 PE that he laced up in for the NBA tip off that emulated the colorway Kobe’s Christmas pair. And while this Low edition of the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 isn’t a PE by any means, we wouldn’t be surprised to see players like Pau rock them going forward thanks to the obvious Lakers combo. Heads have been patiently waiting for the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Low to finally hit US retailers, and hopefully the recent uptick in images reflects a closer date of arrival. Follow us after the jump to get the full look at this Lakers colorway and be on the lookout for more Lows on the way soon. via KC

Blake Griffin was chosen as the prime representative of the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011, leading a group of next-gen big-men that sport an uncanny athleticism paired with their gargantuan size. This upcoming Purple/Grey/Silver colorway would be a nice fit for Sacramento Kings up-and-comer DeMarcus Cousins, who sported the Nike Hyperfuse and Air Max Fly By for most of last season. Combining two regal tones of purple (Club and Imperial) and set off with cool grey midsoles and a flashy metallic silver swoosh, this upcoming Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme features upgraded design and tech elements like the webbed TPU overlay at the toe and forefoot and (groan) a $140 price-tag. Check out the additional images below and let us know if you think the ‘Supreme’ variety is worth the extra dough. via hoopchina/SC.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2010 was unveiled in grand fashion during last year’s World Basketball Festival, a joint effort among Nike, Jordan Brand, and Converse Basketball that celebrated the global reach of the game of basketball. After the immense success of the original Nike Hyperdunk, there were big expectations for the sequel to what many call one of the best basketball shoes ever created, and although the Hyperdunk 2010 was a worthy successor, it didn’t garner the ‘hype’ like the original, largely because the shoe wasn’t exactly tied to a specific player. For example, the OG Hyperdunk was considered Kobe Bryant’s unofficial signature shoe, as we saw him jump over a speeding Aston Martin while wearing the shoe. For the Hyperdunk 2011, Nike has appointed budding superstar Blake Griffin as the unofficial spokesperson, and if he continues the never-ending highlight reel from this past season, we expect the Hyperdunk 2011 to garner as much attention as the Clippers star. Check out the images of this new TB colorway of black, red, and white below (with a great close-up look at the details) and let us know which Hyperdunk design you like best. via ULT.

Blake Griffin’s star power is through the roof right at the moment, because you’ve probably seen the Clippers standout in plenty of television advertisements since his breakout 2010-11 season. Blake completely took over the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend, winning the Dunk Contest, performing some sick dunks during the game, earning a spot on the Western All-Star squad, and debuting the Nike Hyperdunk 2011 during the game. While were’ eagerly anticipating the release of the next installation of the Hyperdunk 2011 legacy, here’s a look at it’s lower-cut brethren – the Nike Hyperdunk 2011 Low. The Nike Zoom Hyperdunk Low features a the same outsole construction, lightweight Flywire-stabilized upper shell, pronounced heel-cup, and pointed tongue. You can expect these eight team-based colorways for the Spring 2012 season, so check out all eight after the jump and let us know which of eight colorways you like best. via CK.

Blake Griffin was one of Conan O’Brien’s guests during last night’s show, which came at a pretty opportune time (Blake was just awarded the 2010-2011 Rookie Of The Year award). Although he doesn’t have a Nike signature shoe (yet), Blake Griffin seems to be the unofficial poster-boy for the Nike Hyperdunk 2011, as he’s worn the shoe during the 2011 NBA All Star Game, as well as during regular season games. Last night, Blake gave Mr. Coco an autographed pair of the yet-to-release Nike Hyperdunk 2011 in size 17, autographed and all. If you missed out on last night’s show, we’ve got Blake’s segment after the jump, so get ready for some laughs and let us know if you think he’s got what it takes to eventually pull off his own signature Nike model in the future.

How does one bounce back from a season-ending injury? One can either return as a shell of his former self, approaching the game with apprehension, or explode onto the scene and dominate the above-the-rim game like Blake Griffin did. After sitting out the entire 09-10 campaign, Blake Griffin became somewhat of an afterthought due to the big free-agency movement (and the fact that the Clippers rarely get any attention). Well, Blake definitely grabbed our attention with his insane dunks, veteran-like production on the stat-sheet, and unprecedented poise and maturity, and after running the table of Western Conference Rookie of the Month awards, he officially became the league’s best rookie last night. Nike Basketball took notice during the course of the season as he was outfitted with some sweet PEs during the 2011 NBA All Star Dunk Contest, and served as a debut exhibit for the Nike Hyperdunk 2011. Blake has the Clippers back on the NBA radar, but he’s not finished there, because he’ll certainly be a force to be reckoned with for the next decade. Congratulations to Blake Griffin and a successful first season of ‘The Blake Show’!

Blake Griffin debuted the Nike Hyperdunk 2011 during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game, wearing an earth-shattering ’10.0′ Player Exclusive for the game. Blake then debuted the Hyperdunk 2011 in-game against the Denver Nuggets during the past weekend. There certainly was no better way to introduce the Nike Hyperdunk 2011 than on Blake Griffin, who has injected much-needed adrenaline to the Los Angeles Clippers franchise and the NBA as a whole. Here’s a look at the upcoming Treasure Blue/Ice-Volt colorway of the Nike Hyperdunk 2011; it features a Treasure Blue upper with a Volt ankle and inner lining, a silver swoosh, and a translucent outsole. Sneaker News previously showed you this colorway twice during two separate Nike Hyperdunk 2011 previews, and it should be noted that a few alterations have been made since the initial report; it began as a solid blue upper shoe with a Volt swoosh, but based on these latest images, the differences are quite obvious (and very much preferred). Check out the new images below and let us know what you think. via axgilbert
