Did you know that the Nike Internationalist is part of NSW’s wide ranging “City Pack” for 2014? You’d think that the brand would be focused on countries rather than cities to pay tribute to at the moment given the proximity of the 2014 World Cup, but we suppose that Italy supporters could rock with these. The sneakers feature one of the tamer colorways that we’ve seen in the whole group and the standard call out to the city in question across the tongue. There’s more of the Nike Internationalist “Milan” after the break waiting for you, so get a good look and then drop your thoughts on them down in our comments section.

loopwheeler nike internationalist 1 Loopwheeler x Nike Internationalist

The Loopwheeler Nike collaborations have more often than not arrived on ancient Swoosh silhouettes. At the top of last year we saw the Loopwheeler x Nike Air Vortex and this time they’ve got a new duo of Nike Internationalist releases that stick with the tonal fleece look. The materials aren’t entirely unified between the two, as the grey pair wears a sort of ostrich looking Swoosh on the side where the navy has a more standard suede. See both below and remember that it’s not too often that the Loopwheeler x Nike creations show up stateside.

Nike WMNS Internationalist – Grey – Light Lucid Green – Atomic Mango

Slowly but surely, Nike Sportswear is introducing the Internationalist to the glorious effects of the progress made in sneaker coloring over these past three decades. You simply wouldn’t have seen a colorway like this new Nike WMNS Internationalist back in the late 1980s, but we’d bet that styles like this with a tonal grey upper and colorful hits on the sole are less a fad and more of a new standard that will inevitably be surpassed by something newer and fresher, but never go out of style. Same deal with the silhouette here, which is treated to a whole new life thanks to a totally novel colorblocking scheme. A never-before-seen combination on a 30+ year-old runner is a recipe for success this summer and you can cop a pair today at shops like Shelta.
