Trinidad James has quickly become one of the rappers to watch as far as the sneaker inclined are concerned, already showing off a pretty good range of wears via his Instagram in the short time that he’s been on the scene. This one is particularly interesting: James apparently couldn’t make up his mind between the Nike LeBron X ‘Christmas’ and the Nike Kobe 8 ‘Christmas’ for a recent basketball match so just went with both. That is, unless you had planned on picking up anything from this huge trio that will drop the day after. Nike Basketball’s big three signature athletes will carry on the tradition of bringing holiday cheer in sneaker form come Christmas 2012. The Nike KD V, Nike Kobe 8, and the Nike LeBron X are each set to arrive equipped with a different manifestation of the ‘Christmas’ theme; the Nike Kobe 8 ‘Christmas’ sports a scaly, almost stained glass look, the Nike KD V ‘Christmas’ is a static style video-game inspired affair, and last but not least, the Nike LeBron X ‘Christmas’ is the most straightforward of the set with its ruby red tones. Christmas came a little bit early for Kobe Bryant fans this year, with devotees of the Black Mamba no doubt feeling some extra holiday cheer when he became the youngest player ever to score 30,000 career points. We’ll keep the good news coming, showing off some more angles of the upcoming Nike Kobe 8 ‘Christmas’. The patterned pair sports a colorful scaly look up top, a little bit of speckling on the midsole, and a sulfurous yellow on bottom. Each of the Nike Zoom Kobe VIIIs we’ve seen thus far has displayed a degree of graphical complexity, but none of them shows off the eighth Kobe Bryant Nike Basketball signature’s potential for room-stopping design like the rainbow mixture pictured above. Just about any of the Black Mamba’s sigs would make a perfect complement for 2013′s Year of the Snake celebration, but instead it looks like these multicolored Kobe 8s are a festive rendition for Christmas Day that we can expect to see against the Knicks on ABC.
