So a bunch of the upcoming colorways of the Nike Kobe 8 has us definitely excited about what’s in store for the EM-built upper, but if you’re more into the classic looks, the Blue Glue colorway (aka Duke) drops tomorrow. Nike has officially dubbed these the ‘Blue Coral Snake’, with the graphic upper mirroring Kobe’s Black Mamba persona down to a tee. You probably won’t see Kobe rock these in a game, so get ‘em for yourself tomorrow and cop now on eBay.

Although ‘Dunkman’ was never a nickname adopted by Kobe Bryant, he has participated in – and won – an NBA Dunk Contest. Kobe might not have the same hops he did back in the late 90′s, but he’s maximized his current ability to maintain presence as an elite player, D’ing up LeBron rather feverishly during the recent All-Star Game. This Grey/Volt colorway of the Kobe 8 (not exactly a ‘Dunkman’) is stirring up some excitement among our readers thanks to the clean and simple colorway, and a March 9th release should attract plenty of crowds. New angles below so take a look and let us know if this 3/9 release is in your radar.

It’s clear that Nike has moved forward from simply mixing and matching colors and is now diving off the deep end with incredibly funky graphics on its shoes. Take the Nike Kobe 8 for example, which, according to some, maybe be the top dog of the Nike Basketball trio this season thanks to the incredibly eccentric graphics on the upper like this tie-dye-ish paint-streak. The smudgy colors on the upper offer up an unprecedented level of color contrast, with the blue, yellow, and red colorway with the orange lining maximizing the color contrast. Not much is known about this pair as of now, but could this be a special pack release – perhaps something for Barcelona? Check the extra angle below and stay tuned to Sneaker News as more info becomes available.
