With the release of the Nike LeBron 9′s looming, we’ll forgive you if you forgot about King James’ post season sneaker-the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. So while it’s only a matter of weeks before he puts the 8′s and their various iterations away for good, LeBron may still have a few ones left in the vault, like this black/white/red PE colorway he was seen in during the CP3 Charity Game over the weekend. The color combo is one of the more Heat oriented ones we’ve seen from LeBron, so maybe he’s remaining hopeful about the pending NBA season. Before we close the eighth chapter of the book of Nike LeBron, let’s take one last look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S.. The LeBron 8 P.S. was an unprecedented third installment of the eighth signature shoe that evolved alongside LeBron James’ game, providing a lighter, more responsive package tailored specifically to his game. In addition, the LeBron 8 P.S. also served as a platform for new technology as well as a segway to the Nike LeBron 9, which also features the 180-degree Max Air and forefoot Zoom Air cushioning system. It’s not ‘breaking news’ when we mention that the LeBron 8 P.S. was the least popular of the three – clearly the ‘Dunkman’ colorway alone wasn’t high-energy enough to elevate the shoe to beyond a performance sneaker. But looking at these unreleased PEs, like the ‘South Beach’ that LeBron wore during the Battle of the I-95 game last weekend or this jaw-dropping Gun Metal colorway that we showed you some time ago, you might be able to see the true potential of this short-lived sneaker. For the LeBron 9, the P.S. series will reach new heights with the $250 Elite, of the LeBron 8 P.S. is any indication (in terms of performance and engineering), we can only expect the very best. Check out this fresh new look at the unreleased Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Gun Metal PE and let us know if you would’ve copped these if they released. via xclusive_sole.

Nothing finite has been established for the fate of the 2011-12 NBA season, and with an October 3rd start to training camp still up in the air, NBA ballers have been keeping themselves busy in summer ProAm leagues. Truth is, NBA players have always been involved in the summer leagues – only now they’re getting a bit more attention considering the NBA newswire has been relatively dry. During last night’s game between Team Melo and Team Philly, dubbed the ‘I-95 Game’, LeBron James wore a new PE colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S.; it featured a tonal aqua blue upper with a black midsole and an aqua blue Max Air unit and outsole. Slap on some pink laces and you’ve got yourself a bonafide ‘South Beach’ colorway that would quite honestly boost the moderate popularity of the LeBron 8 P.S. sneaker. Check out the extra shots of this great PE colorway below and let us know if you’d cop a ‘South Beach’ LeBron 8 P.S. if it ever released! via lilpennymagicfan on ISS/thedp.

You know what would be absolutely shocking? If someone were clever enough to see this shoe and leave a comment about LeBron James choking during the most recent NBA Finals. For those of you who’ve been reading Sneaker News this summer, those sentiments are clearly in jest, as this Nike LeBron 8 P.S. NBA Finals PE has perhaps more than any single colorway from LeBron’s eighth signature line, opened the flood gates for all kinds of hate-filled feedback. And yet, the design of the shoe is downright impeccable, which resulted in an immediate sellout when these popped up unexpectedly as what looked like at the time an Asian exclusive release. But just as that drop widened what had at one point appeared to be a nixed championship celebration, these will now see even wider availability with the Friday, September 2nd release on NikeStore. We just saw the Ambassador IV debut while LeBron James was on tour in China, but that’s not the only significant news for King James coming out of Asia. It was in the Far East just this past weekend that the ‘Miami Nights’ V/2 Lows hit retail and now another model that we may never see on US store shelves: the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. ‘NBA Finals’ colorway. This Finals PE was probably among the key components of what would have been LeBron’s first championship celebration, but instead they seem poised for a AP-exclusive release. Click through to see more angles and if you don’t want to risk missing out on the ‘NBA Finals’ PE LeBron 8 PS, pick up a pair today from Kix-Files or on eBay.

From beginning the end, the Nike LeBron 8 releases have been somewhat confusing. After the South Beaches dropped as a Miami exclusive, essentially kicking off the new era of the LeBron James and his Nike kicks, they hit nationwide in limited number (and are currently selling for roughly $1,000). Fast forward to the post-NBA season period, and we have two great LeBron 8 releases – arguably the best colorway their respective models – release only in Asia. The Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low ‘Miami Nights’ hit Asia not long ago and now the 2011 NBA Finals PE of the LeBron 8 P.S. followed suit. A U.S. release is rather unlikely, so hit Nikestore China right now because they’ve got a few sizes left for purchase.

LeBron and crew had it all figured out when the Big Three revealed itself in gaudy fashion last summer. LeBron was speaking of multiple championships, Chris Bosh screamed at the top of his lungs for some reason, and Wade kept calm and cool (he already had a ring, remember). However, thanks to a 6’11″ German fella, a devoted owner, and a group of stars-turned-role-playing veterans, things didn’t go as planned for LeBron, who wore this LeBron 8 P.S. PE colorway during the 7-game 6-game series. In fact, Nike Basketball had plans of releasing these in somewhat limited quantities, but that won’t be going down as well. We’ve all shifted focus onto the Nike LeBron 9 already, but if you’re still on ’8′ mode, here’s another look at the LeBron 8 P.S. Finals PE; it’s got the tonal-red Hyperfuse upper with a white tongue/midsole and yellow accents surrounding the shoe. Will the Nike LeBron 9 bring LBJ some better fortune? The NBA season hasn’t started yet (and at this point, we don’t know when it will), but give us your 2012 NBA Champion predictions below. via lilpennymagicfan on ISS.

In 2006, the Miami Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks in six games. In 2011, the Mavericks returned the favor by winning the final three games of the Finals and capturing the franchise’s first ever NBA Championship. Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, and the rest of the Mavericks were all smiles, while a deflated Big Three were reduced to expressions of disappointment and tears. Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki struggled for the first half of the game, only to have his slack picked up by Jason Terry and Jose Juan Barea. Dirk eventually righted his target scope for the second half, hitting clutch buckets when they mattered the most. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, who spoke of multiple championships before the season started, entered Game 6 refreshed and ready for action. The Big Three started off strong, but in the second half, LeBron’s passivity on both ends and Wade’s recklessness made it tough for the Heat to keep up with Dallas’ high-percentage scoring. In the end, Mark Cuban and the Mavericks have plenty to celebrate, and the Heat have a long off-season to mull things over. The 2011 NBA Finals is a wrap, so check out the Game 6 recap below! via Yahoo!
