NIKE LEBRON 8 P.S. The Nike LeBron 8 P.S. is the post season version of LeBron James’ eighth signature sneaker with Nike. Various pairs were worn by James as he and the Miami Heat advanced clear to the Finals in the 2010-11 NBA season. The sneaker altered the design of its predecessor in aiming for a lighter build, using Nike’s seamless Hyperfuse technology to achieve this.

During last night’s post-game interview, LeBron James, for the first time in public, openly apologized for the aftermath of ‘The Decision’, expressing sorrow at the heartbreak while standing firm in his decision to leave Cleveland for Miami. It was a decision much maligned at the time, but it’s clearly paying dividends because LeBron has earned a trip back to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2009. Releasing tomorrow are three colorways of the Nike LeBron 8 PS, the third and final evolutionary step of the Nike LeBron 8; the Black/Sport Red colorway, which LBJ has sported in games already, the Varsity Royal, and the controversial ‘Dunkman‘ will all hit Nike Basketball retailers tomorrow, so take a look at these new images below and pick up a pair now on eBay.

Right after the ‘Big Three’ came together, LeBron James’ teammate Dwyane Wade called the Los Angeles Lakers the ‘team to beat’. Now, it looks like a re-match of the 2006 NBA Finals could very well be in the works, but this time the participating players will have changed just a bit. If LeBron makes it to the Finals, will he break out the LeBron 8 P.S. ‘Dunkman’ for a special game? So far we’ve seen him in just the White and Black-based Home and Away colorways (with the ‘Blackout’ PE possibly coming up soon), but it would sure be nice to see LeBron rock the Dunkmans before his season comes to an end. Check out this new detailed look of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Dunkman courtesy of US10 and pick up a pair right now on eBay.

More Round 2 Games were scheduled in the prior two nights, with some interesting developments already in the works. The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1, while the Miami Heat took a commanding 2-0 lead in their series. The team with the 2011 League MVP was defeated by the surprising Atlanta Hawks, led by Joe Johnson’s scorching performance, and the OKC Thunder clapped loudly in Game 2 by evening up the series with the biggest upset story of the 2011 Playoffs – the Memphis Grizzlies. Some of the notable kicks from the last two nights included the Nike Hyperfuse 2011, worn by Lamar Odom and Russell Westbrook, the LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Home’ PE worn by James (Jones, no LeBron), Carlos Boozer’s two-toned Hyperdunk 2010 PE, and Joe Johnson’s Jordan Prime 5 PE. Of course, there’s plenty more to see below, so take a look and stick with Sneaker News for more NBA Feet coverage throughout the 2011 NBA Playoffs. via Yahoo!.

The 2011 Playoffs have entered the semi-final round of play, and over the weekend we got a glimpse of all the exciting action to come. Down in Florida, the Miami Heat faced off against the Boston Celtics in a heated match-up of two championship contenders. LeBron James, in the ‘Home’ colorway of the LeBron 8 P.S., and Dwyane Wade, in the Jordan Fly Wade PE, took home a Game 1 victory and a significant edge in the series. Ray Allen, in the Jordan Phase 23 Hoops, and the Rajon Rondo, in the Zoom Kobe VI, did what they could to hold off the Heat. The surprising Grizzlies continued their Cinderella story by winning Game 1 and stealing home-court advantage by defeating the OKC Thunder by a comfortable margin, led by big-men Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol (both in the Air Max Fly By). Kevin Durant (Zoom KD III) and Russell Westbrook (Hyperfuse 2011) chipped in a combined 64 points, 19 rebounds, and 9 assists in a losing effort. Four games into Round 1, and the picture depicting the NBA Champions are a bit more clear. For one, it’s not orange and blue, thanks to a four-game sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics. Carmelo debuted the ‘Home’ colorway of the Jordan Melo M7 Advance, Amare Stoudemire finally revealed a new PE of the Zoom Huarache TR Mid in a blazing orange and white colorway, and Jermaine O’neal wore a Black/Green colorway of the Nike Hypershox 2011. Is the championship picture White, Red, and Yellow? It could be, but the Sixers avoided their own 0-4 sweep by winning Game 4, giving us at least one more opportunity to get a look at the LeBron 8 P.S. Black/Sport Red and D-Wade’s Jordan Fly Wade in the Away PE version. Atlanta got closer to pulling off an upset, as the Hawks took a 3-1 lead in their series with Orlando. The sneaker highlights included Gilbert Arenas’ Nike Air Go LWP, Q-Rich’s Jordan Play In These PE, and Joe Johnson’s Jordan Prime 5. The Bulls still hold a strong 3-1 lead, but an injury to Derrick Rose paired with the Pacers intensified play could change that series.
Out West, Zach Randolph proved that he was worth every penny by hitting a key three-pointer at the end of the game to give the 8-seed Grizzlies a surprising 2-1 lead against the San Antonio Spurs. Kevin Durant, who had been wearing the Zoom KD III ‘POP’ for the first two games, sported a new colorway of the Zoom KD III en route to a win in Game against the Nuggets. One of the more interesting match-ups has been the Blazers/Mavericks series, currently tied at two games a piece; LaMarcus Aldridge wore the Silver/Red PE colorway of the Air Max Hyperdunk 2010, but we should see the second Playoff version soon. The Lakers/Hornets match-up has been a good one as well, and so have the sneakers! We got a look at a new PE colorway of the Nike Hyperfuse 2011 on Lamar Odom as well as a Jordan CP3.IV Home PE. The First Round of the Playoffs are at a halfway point so check out the full recap of the games from the last three nights below! via Yahoo!.

LeBron James just rocked the Black/Sport Red-White colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. last night during Game 3 of the Heat/Sixers series, and so far, the LeBron 8 P.S. has been serving LRJ pretty well. A quick 3-0 lead in the series while averaging around 25 points, 6 assists, 12 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block per contest, Jason Petrie’s P.S. design has LeBron on the right track. Here’s another detailed look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. in the ‘Away’ colorway; it features a colorway similar to that ‘Portland Game’ PE of the LeBron 8 V2, with the black upper, white-bordered swoosh in red, white outsole, and red Max Air unit. These are set for a release on May 13th, a date LeBron and the Heat will likely live to experience. Check out the new detailed images below and let us know what you think. via IST.

The morning after the LeBron 8 PS media wear-test event held last Friday at American Airlines Arena in Miami, the group in attendance was brought over to well-known Miami sneaker spot, Shoe Gallery, to check out the impressive display setup showcasing the LeBron 8 PS, which became available for purchase for the first time that very day. With Game 1 of the playoffs starting later that afternoon, what better way to pre-game than with the PS launch and a chance to visit the mobile Nike iD customization station that made its home outside of the shop for the day.
Customers could laser up their LeBron 8 PS boxes or choose to customize a white Nike N98 jacket chosen to play up the “white hot” theme that took over the arena for the Heat’s first home playoff game against the Philadelphia 76ers. As with the rest of the weekend and this year’s Nike Basketball playoff campaign, the operative word here was “EPIC” – four letters that you will see scrawled wherever Nike B-ball and the NBA Playoffs are present this year. Keep reading after the jump for a look at some of the choice sights inside and outside of Shoe Gallery, and if you still need a pair of the shoes, get your LeBron 8 PS’s now at NikeStore or on eBay.
