We all knew LeBron’s nightly scoring output would take a small dip now that he can share the load with his two fellow All-Stars, but time and time again he reminds us that he’s capable of unstoppable surges. Some of his more recent scoring tallies reached the 40s and 50s, and once the Miami Heat hit Playoff time, those scoring outputs should be more common. Here’s another look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. in White/Varsity Red-Black; these are certainly more ‘wearable’ than the Royal Blue pair we showed you earlier because this pair obviously fits the Miami Heat color scheme to a tee. Miami trails Boston by just a half game — the smallest gap between these teams at the top of the NBA’s Eastern Conference since their opening day matchup in October. Can the Heat continue their winning ways through April and surge to the top of the conference to secure home court advantage through the playoffs? We still have about 30 more regular season games to figure that out but as for what Miami star LeBron James will be wearing come the postseason, that’s easy. Here’s a new look at the Nike LeBron 8 PS in a colorway demonstrating that while this is James’ playoff sneaker of choice, we’ll see plenty of colorways beyond the obvious bred variations. The Cleveland Cavaliers were the first NBA team to 40 wins last year, first to 40 losses this time around. Meanwhile in Miami, it’s not a question of if the Heat make the playoffs, but rather at which seed will they enter and how deep can they go? The longer the Heat stick around the more we’ll see of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S., the Hyperfuse-equipped answer to last year’s postseason LeBron VII. Of the two sample colorways we have to show you here today, one is a natural fit for Heat home games while the other seems to tie in with one of the Super Bowl participants, or maybe a look forward to team oriented colorways we’ll see during March Madness. Leather to Flywire accounted for the first phase of the weight reduction of the Nike LeBron 8, so what’s in store for phase 2? Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a teaser preview of the third Nike LeBron 8 shoe of 2011 – the Nike LeBron 8 PS. To further reduce the weight of the shoe, Fuse material has been used on the upper, creating an immensely lightweight package for LeBron James to wear during the 2011 NBA Postseason. The LeBron P.S. debuted last year with LeBron James’ seventh signature shoe, a Zoom Air-cushioned version of the Air Max LeBron VII. It gave the opportunity for LeBrons fans to enjoy a second pair of kicks for the year while allowing the creative minds at Nike Basketball to play around with some new designs and ideas. Nike Basketball switched it up this season by releasing the LeBron 8 V2, a lighter version of the LeBron 8 V1 that, while utilizing Max Air, featured a lightweight and breathable Flywire Shell upper. The Miami Heat are certainly Postseason bound so how did Jason Petrie come up with an even lighter and equally explosive package?
Here’s a preview look at the next LeBron 8 signature shoe, which could be either the P.S. version of the V3; in these teasers, you can see that Fuse material is used on the upper while the cushioning is comprised of an impressive combination of Max Air and Zoom. The outsole traction also receives a considerable makeover adopting a shapely construction, alluding to a heel-Max Air and forefoot-Zoom Air cushion set-up.
