NIKE LEBRON 8 The Nike LeBron 8 is the eighth sneaker in the mainline LeBron James lineup for Nike, a silhouette designed by Jason Petrie that arrived at a historical moment in James' career as he left his longtime home with the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Miami Heat. This decision was famously captured in what is hands down the most sought after colorway of the sneaker, the Nike LeBron 8 'South Beach'.

Sneaker customizer MizzeeCustoms has had a successful run of the Nike LeBron 8 customs, but it’s time to hang ‘em up for good and move on to the next series of projects. Or is it? For his next set of custom LeBron 8s, MizzeeCustoms paid tribute to the 2011 NBA Finals by making not one, but two new colorways – one for the Miami Heat and one for the Dallas Mavericks. The Miami custom is a close call to the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Home PE that LeBron wore; using the Black/Red LeBron 8 V/1 as a base, the Miami version features a white upper with a red midsole and yellow accents on the swoosh border, figure-8 lace eyelet, midsole speckling, and more. The ‘Veteran’s Day‘ colorway was used as the base for the Mavericks edition, which features a tonal navy blue upper with a repainted photo blue tongue, matching laces, and speckling on the Air bag. Continue reading for a detailed look at both the Nike LeBron 8 ‘Grand Finale’ customs after the jump and let us know which of the two you like better.

We got a look at a similarly blocked pair of LeBron 8 PSes early last month, but in the absence of their sighting during the Playoffs, it appears that there are only two ‘Triple Black’ Nike LeBron signature sneakers this year. The LeBron 8s that released last December were a big hit in the same colorway, so you know this new Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low will also be a crowd-pleaser. Featuring a variety of black shades thanks to the upper’s Flywire shell, these have a wider tonal range than your average ‘Blackout’ edition and have gotta be at or near the top of the list for non-white summertime staple looks. LeBron James is readying for his first NBA Finals since being swept by the San Antonio Spurs four years ago, and here’s a new player exclusive of his postseason signature sneaker that could just as easily match their distinctly simple uniforms. But then again, nearly every team’s jerseys would make a nice match for this new Nike LeBron 8 P.S. special edition PE. But it’s Texas’ other perennial power that King James will need to vanquish to capture his first championship, and you can expect this model to show up in our upcoming NBA Feet looks into the Heat/Mavs Finals. Will this be the year LeBron James finally quenches his championship thirst? The Miami Heat still need to win six more games to make that happen, but among the things we are certain of as we move into the summer is that the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Sprite’ is one of the season’s most eye catching releases. These offer a nice change of pace for the use of neon on LeBrons when compared to the Dunkman series, their Treasure Blue uppers resembling the bubbles from a freshly poured can thanks to the heavily ventilated upper shell. Click through to see more of these and let us know if they’re your favorite LeBron 8 V2 Low colorup yet. via AGS

Mizzeecustoms has been killing the custom sneaker game for a long while, using the Nike LeBron 8 V/1 as one of his primary canvases. We’ve seen his ‘Raptor’ custom and his tribute to The Big ‘O’, but here’s a look at his latest creation that is certainly to break necks. Using the Undefeated x Air Jordan IV as the inspiration, Mizzeecustoms transformed the LeBron 8 V/1 by painting the leather upper an army olive green and slapped on some orange laces to match the altered tongue border and LeBron James insignia on the heel. Another snazzy detail is in the Flywire paneling, which reveals a shimmering orange tone in certain lit angles. Best LeBron 8 custom to date? Check out the detailed images below and let us know what you think.
