Remember when LeBron James recently let go a photo of that incredible set of unreleased Nike LeBron 9 Elite colorways? The majority of them had an easy correlation as far standard Nike LeBron 9 versions, with the one dubbed by King James as ‘Tennis Ball’ being the odd man out in that regard. As it turns out the pair was actually a volt colored, even higher energy interpretation of the ‘Dunkman’ theme, as evidenced by this new shot of the sneaker showing that logo on the tongue. Click through with us to check out the Nike LeBron 9 Elite ‘Volt Dunkman’ and let us know in the comments below if you think this one should have arrived with the rest of the Nike LeBron 9 Elite retail pairs.

While it was around, the Nike LeBron 9 Elite got a decidedly more thorough treatment in terms of colorways offered than the other Elite models to debut at the same time, popping up with editions like the ‘Taxi’ and the ‘Miami Vice’. It looks like the colorways didn’t end there, at least not for LeBron James, who recently showed off this picture of his Nike LeBron 9 Elite collection, a group that includes Cannon, Tennis Ball, Blue Flame (looks like ‘China’ to us), and Galaxy style colorways. Stay with us after the jump for a full look at all these crazy pairs of the Nike LeBron 9 Elite that King James has on deck and let us know which one you’d most want in your personal collection.

The LeBron 9′s Elite edition is the most technically advanced and highest priced basketball sneaker on the market, its cutting edge build designed to push King James over the top in the quest for his first championship. It worked perfectly and the majority of official colorways have been connected to the Miami Heat’s 2012 NBA Title, but what if we go full-circle and revisit one of LeBron’s earlier triumphs. This new Nike LeBron 9 Elite custom in SVSM colors is the latest from colorswap king Mache. Covered in the familiar Fighting Irish gold and green that we’ve come to love on annual PE releases, these photos suggest that just like the St. Vincent-St.Mary LeBron 9 player exclusives, this Elite edition would be a quick sellout were it ever issued for retail. As it stands, only a few pairs are available from Mache Custom Kicks.

Nope this isn’t a Ghostface tribute, the Tony Stark being paid homage to here is the original one of Marvel comics fame. Staying with the superhero theme after his ‘The Dark Knight’ work on the Nike LeBron 9 Elite Mache grabs the same canvas for this Ironman pair. The sneaker gets plated with the armored up look, with a special spot reserved for a mock Stark Enterprises logo, a placement that actually foreshadows the bit of the emblem selections we’ve seen so far on the Nike LeBron 10. Click through with us to check out the Nike LeBron 9 Elite ‘Tony Starks’ customs by the always on point Mache and let us know your thoughts on this piece of work in the comments below.

Remember back when the hood was telling 50 Cent they couldn’t believe Reebok did a deal with a psycho? Those days are firmly in Curtis Jackson’s past at this point, freeing up his sneaker selection options now that no sort of endorsement deal has him obligated to rock with any particular brand. His most recent wear was the black and gold ‘away’ colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 Elite, paired up with a heavy dosage of other black attire for a chat and photo shoot with Extra host and recent Dancing With the Stars contestant Maria Menounos. Hit the jump to check out the full gallery and let us know in the comments if you still think 50′s sneakers look right, yo. Photos: Zimbio

Sneaker customizer Mache Customs has created quite the comfortable niche in the LeBron 9 sector with his DIY concepts, and he keeps the excitement around LeBron’s Championship going with this latest ‘MVP’ custom. Using the LeBron 9 Elite as the base, he combines the LeBron 9 ‘MVP’ red/black gradient fade upper, but pairs it with his own selection of Gold Leaf for an insane one-two combo that combines LeBron’s MVP campaign and NBA Finals Championship in one fell swoop. He also adds the ‘MVP’ touch with the lettering on the medial heel of the shoe as well. Do you like these better than his ‘Finals PE’ Elite customs or even the MVP version that Nike intended to release this month? Check out the gallery below and if you want your own Mache joints done, hit him up sooner than later because the waiting list is getting longer and longer!
