March probably can’t compete with February when it comes to unbridled sneaker insanity, but the month will indeed start off with a bit of its own madness when a trio of new Nike LeBron 9 colorways hits retailers. The one of those that’s been an annual institution for some time now is the ’Dunkman’ LeBron 9, a model that’s pictured above in a sample style that’s constructed almost identically to the retail version. The colorblocking is entirely the same, but a Swingman-style halo around the Dunkman heel badge ties these in with another of those March 2nd releases in a way that we’ve not seen before. Click through to see more of these and let us know what you think about this mixed delivery, and stick with Sneaker News for all the upcoming Nike LeBron 9 release dates as we head toward the playoffs. via NLB

Although not officially listed as one of LeBron James’ heroes, the upcoming release of the Griffey-infused Nike LeBron 9 is certainly a clear message that LeBron idolizes the ‘Swingman’. This colorway that combines an OG Air Griffey Max 1-esque Teal and Red exudes that Mariners feel, with the matte finish of the Hyperfuse upper shell giving off the emerald city appeal. Sneaker News confirmed the release of the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Griffey’ not long ago, so circle your calendars for March 2nd after you take a nice detailed look at this hot upcoming release. via yieke.

Earlier today Sneaker News showed you two brand new colorways of the Nike LeBron 9 – a Dark Grey/Neon Green colorway dubbed the ‘Dunkman’ and the metallic blue/red designated the ‘All-Star’. However, it’s been confirmed by Jason Petrie himself that the ‘All-Star’ isn’t what it seems, and a look at the heel-badge only confirms that notion. It features the same ‘Dunkman’ logo, but with a curious halo, making an obvious reference to the Nike Air Griffey line. LeBron’s been spotted wearing Griffeys from time to time, so perhaps this new release is his way of adding Ken Griffey Jr. to the exclusive list of ‘Heroes’ that was revealed in the Air Max LeBron VII. Another rumor that’s been floating around is that both Dunkman colorways are intended to be released as a Pack, but more information regarding the release will be reported once it develops. We’ve got additional angles for you below, so take a look and let us know what you think of this Dunkman/Griffey concept. via randomactsofcool.
