Though undoubtedly gruelling, there’s something about winning an NBA Championship that makes foregoing a restful vacation to play through an Olympic summer not so tiring after all. In the case of Kobe Bryant’s 2008, the surge from merely playing in that year’s Finals was enough to drive him through the gold medal redemption in China to another Finals appearance the following year and finally, that elusive Shaq-less fourth ring. Fast forward to 2012 and with his Miami Heat up 2-0 on the aging Boston Celtics (who can’t even make good on Rajon Rondo’s sudden elite jump), it’s easy to predict that LeBron James will find himself with similar factors in play, and this Nike LeBron 9 Low ‘USA’ is one of those designs that can keep up with you all summer. Check out a new set of images after the jump below and make your Flag Day celebration an extended weekend when these drop on Saturday, June 16th at select Nike Basketball retailers like Social Status – or just cop them right now on eBay.

Sneaker News just informed you that the ‘USA’ colorway is arriving at retailers on June 16th, but what about the rest of the summer’s Nike LeBron 9 Lows? Several more colorways are coming up, and with this latest revelation, we can expect even more. Today brings our first look at a high contrast ‘Entourage’ LeBron 9 Low that could be seen as a ‘choke you’ to Danny Granger, a low-cut Pacers-leaning colorway that reminds us lowtop LeBrons signify the end of the season. And representing MIA from that Eastern Conference Semifinal is the colorway that’s been the single most influential over the past two or so years. Call it ‘South Beach’, ‘Miami Vice’ or just ‘copped’, these LeBron 9 lows show off their pink and blue accents in more photos after the jump. Click through to see more and stick with Sneaker News for the US release dates, anticipated for both pairs in the June 2012 range. Photos: lrj23

The possibility of this model becoming the summer’s standout signature increases with each Miami Heat win, but irrespective of whether King James captures his first crown, he’ll honor his commitment to USA Basketball when the Redeem Team defends its gold medal in London. The Nike LeBron 9 Low ‘USA’ gives us a hint at what to expect from LeBron when he suits up for the 2012 Summer Games, though this lowcut design will likely make more of an impact in the streets than at the Olympics. Will you jump on these as one of your first Oly cops of the heat-packed summer? The June 16th release date needn’t wait thanks to 95soleman on eBay who has sizes 8.5-12 in stock more than two weeks early.

Sneaker customizers have gone ‘vigilante’ and taken matters into their own hands, creating dream colorways of shoes that otherwise would never see the light of day. Anything ‘South Beach’ is a potential banger for a LeBron shoe, and we’ve already seen Mache Customs take all three Miami-inspired flavors into his ‘Bringing Sand The The Beach’ project, but here’s a look at a true ‘Miami Vice’ custom done by C2 Customs; using the ‘Easter’ Low as the base, C2 mimicked the ‘Elite’ with the grey/black upper and led the shoe’s natural colorway do the rest of the work. Now looking at these customs, do you prefer these over those Silver/Pink/Teal Lows we showed you some time ago? More images of the custom work below, so take a gander and hit up C2 Customs to commission your own.

When will the South Beach/Miami vibe run out of steam? With the quick sell-out of the Floridians low and June 2nd’s South Beach Elite poised to be one of the best releases of the year, it looks like ‘South Beach‘ and all of its tangential colorways are staying put. Mache Customs put that idea to the test as he combined all three ‘Miami’ inspired LeBrons into this custom, as he used the LeBron 9 Low ‘Floridians’ as the base, the ‘Flamingo’ confetti on the rear, and the ‘South Beach’ at the forefoot of the shoe. Another unique touch is the alternating Swoosh colors – White with pink border on the lateral (Floridians) and Black on the medial (South Beach). Yet another custom banger from one of the best in the game, so check out the additional shots of the ‘Bringing Sand To The Beach’ Customs below and let us know what you think!

‘Miami Nights’ has become a household name in the sneaker game, even so much that Wale has a track on his recent ‘Ambition’ album with that same title. However, ‘Miami Nights’ leaked out far earlier than intended, as the confetti-blasted pair that inspired Mache Customs’ latest work is officially dubbed ‘Flamingo’ by Nike folks, but either name seems to fit the bill. Mache Customs adopts the same black confetti to the teal/pink upper to re-live ‘Flamingo/Miami Nights’ on the LeBron 9 Low, and as usual, his work is perfectly crafted – almost like it came straight from a Nike warehouse. A few shots of the Flamingo customs are right ahead, so click through and let us know what you think.

The ‘Summit Lake Hornets’ series on the Nike LeBron 9 is one of those motifs that just has to be a leftover from Nike Basketball’s plan B in the event of the horrible ‘What If’ scenario of the NBA season being totally evaporated, with the Swoosh storytellers switching the focus to aim on LeBron’s past with his present being stalled. Fortunately that wasn’t the case, and luckily we still get those releases, this Nike LeBron 9 Low being the latest of them. Continue reading for more shots of the upcoming Nike LeBron 9 Low ‘Summit Lake Hornets’ and check back with Sneaker News for release info. Photos: LTD Online
