A plethora of celebrities as well as friends and family of T.I. gathered for a behind-the-scenes look at the T.I.’s new music video for ‘This Time Of Night’. A nice collection of sneakers were spotted during this gathering, notable T.I.’s Nike LeBron 9 ‘Swingman‘ and Nelly’s Air Jordan XIV ‘White/Red’. Our question to you: Who rocked the hotter pair of kicks? Check out T.I. and Nelly in their kicks after the jump and let us know who your vote goes to! via EA

March probably can’t compete with February when it comes to unbridled sneaker insanity, but the month will indeed start off with a bit of its own madness when a trio of new Nike LeBron 9 colorways hits retailers. The one of those that’s been an annual institution for some time now is the ’Dunkman’ LeBron 9, a model that’s pictured above in a sample style that’s constructed almost identically to the retail version. The colorblocking is entirely the same, but a Swingman-style halo around the Dunkman heel badge ties these in with another of those March 2nd releases in a way that we’ve not seen before. Click through to see more of these and let us know what you think about this mixed delivery, and stick with Sneaker News for all the upcoming Nike LeBron 9 release dates as we head toward the playoffs. via NLB

With the All-Star version of the Nike LeBron 9 nearly upon us, fans of Mr. James should be set when it comes to high energy colorways. Fortunately, just a few weeks later we’ll also be treated to something a bit more neutral: the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Swingman’ that goes for a Neptune set of tones on the cool blue upper. Of course the other big draw is the Griffey tie-in, with the logo hit on the back paying homage to Junior’s Swingman insignia. Hit the jump for some better shots of this upcoming colorway and let us know in the comments if you’ll be picking up the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Swingman’ on their March 2nd release date. via Dunk

One of the biggest sneaker release months of all-time will be capped off by the NBA All-Star releases (Nike Basketball, Air Foamposite One, etc.), but don’t think the onslaught of sick releases will slow down because the Nike LeBron 9 inspired by Ken Griffey Jr. will hit stores just one weekend after the All-Star Weekend. Capitalizing on the Mariners-like colorway of Green Abyss and bright red, Nike Basketball created a new ‘Dunkman’ logo featuring LeBron’s signature mid-air frame with the Swingman halo that was made popular by Ken Griffey Jr.’s sweet swing. The release date is officially on March 2nd, but have popped up for sale a bit in advance, so take a look at these new angles and get these Swingman LeBrons on your feet right now by copping a pair from id4shoes on eBay.

While the North Americans need to wait another month for these to hit stores, LeBron fans overseas have already gotten the opportunity to rock the Swingman 9s as they’ve released ahead of the U.S. release schedule. Want to see what they’d look like on your feet? Here’s a nice gallery of both on-feet images as well as detailed shots of the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Swingman’; the colorway hints at more of a blue tone than what one might infer from ‘Green Abyss‘, and paired with just the right amount of red and white accents, the entire package is a perfect formula that should cause a frenzy once they hit stores on our side on March 2nd. Peep the gallery below courtesy of hoopchina and let us know what you think of this particular LeBron 9 release, and if you’ve made up your mind about these already, cop a pair now on eBay.

It appears that the folks on campus out in Beaverton were so eager about the retro Griffey revival that they were keen on spreading the love around to non-baseball sigs as well. In what comes off as a little bit of a ‘peanut butter in my chocolate moment’, this new Nike LeBron 9 is poised to arrive with some very tangible influences from the Ken Griffey Jr. line. Beyond the bluish hues on the upper, LeBron’s own logo even gets replaced with the ‘Swingman’ on the back. Are these good in your book or are there other LeBron releases you’ll be putting your money towards instead? Let us know in the comments and stick with Sneaker News for more looks at this early March release. via HKK

How’s this for an interesting blend: a basketball shoe from a player in Miami designed to commemorate a baseball player’s best years in Seattle, has released in Europe so early in the year pitchers and catchers haven’t even reported yet. And the NBA All-Star Game is still a few weeks away as well, but that doesn’t stop the Nike LeBron 9 from getting a different kind of all-star infusion when the ‘Swingman’ edition rounds the bases with a sick deep ocean colorway in honor of Ken Griffey Jr. The ’Swingman’ LeBron 9 even fits Junior’s looping swing insignia in with the Dunkman heel badge, making for a finished product so smooth it doesn’t even matter if the countries within the NikeStore Europe shipping zone might confuse it for a cricket theme. These will arrive in the States on March 2nd just as spring training begins, so if you can’t wait check with your friends overseas and check out some new images in the meantime.
