LeBron James was an assassin in clutch time during Wednesday’s overtime Game 1 victory over Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals. This is not the first time LBJ asserted his will in OT against an ECF opponent as the 2007 Detroit Pistons can personally attest. During those early years, King James suited up in his secondary shoe for the postseason, the latest version of which is on display here in the white and black Nike Zoom Soldier VII. The WNBA pre-season already has the women of the league bringing out some slick sneakers. Skylar Diggins, the third overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft, showed up to her exhibition game with the Tulsa Shock wearing the Nike LeBron Soldier VII. What’s more, the sneakers appeared to be a PE pair, with the gold/black/yellow coinciding with the colors of Oklahoma’s WNBA team. The Zoom LeBron Soldier 6 was fairly quiet for a shoe that was once the playoff go-to model for the NBA’s biggest star. Only a few colorways to date mean more might be waiting in the wings, but we already have a sense of its impending demise now that the sequel is already showing up in preview shots.
