It looks like LeBron James has set aside the Nike LeBron X for the time being, venturing out to China for a recent string of games ahead of the NBA season and picking some proper kicks to match. Don’t recognize them? On feet here is the Nike LeBron ST Low, an Asia exclusive model that popped up in a couple of the more iconic LeBron palettes before quickly disappearing once again. Stay with us after the jump to get a full view of LeBron rocking something outside the mainline releases and let us know if you’d like to get your hands on a pair of these in the comments below.

Not long ago Sneaker News gave you a look at the Nike LeBron ST Low, a casual lifestyle-driven take-down model from the LeBron lineage that appeared to be dated during the LeBron 8 era. Given the Lion logo on the tongue and outsole design, it seemed like the LeBron ST Low was perhaps a scrapped older model, but here we get a look at a new ‘Sprite’ colorway in Neptune Blue and Volt (also born from the LeBron 8 era); it’s been made clear that the LeBron ST Low is in fact a 2012 release, which has us wondering if Nike Basketball will continue to reach back into the past when whipping up new models. Remember, the LeBron ST Low isn’t an entirely new concept, as a different version of the LeBron ST Low released back in 2007! More of the ‘Sprite’ below, so take a look and let us know what you think. via taobao/nikelebron

If you ever venture out to Asia and get the opportunity to shop around at Nike Basketball retail spots, you’ll notice that the selection of footwear is quite different from the Foot Lockers and Finish Lines you see here. Aside from the signature basketball shoes like LeBron and Zoom Kobe, the Asia market has an interesting selection of take-down models, like the Zoom Kobe Venomenon and Dream Season and the LeBron Ambassador. This other LeBron-branded model called the Nike LeBron ST Low is another Asia-exclusive model that has never stepped foot at U.S. chain retailers; it features a lot of borrowed elements from the LeBron 8, like the Lion logo on the tongue, the V/2-like upper, and the figure-8 window on the outsole. These two colorways featured the basic ‘Bred’ combination and the ‘Solar Red’ vibe, as seen the V/2 Low that released last year. It’s always interesting to see what other LeBrons and Kobes are out there, so check out the gallery below and let us know if you’d open to non-signature models bearing the newest NBA Champion’s name like this LeBron ST Low.
