The Nike LeBron X Low in violet force/volt will release on May 25th, 2013. The sneaker is one that’s been straddling the line as far as the “Sprite” nickname is concerned. It does the volt part of the equation, but the main tone utilized is a purple one, suggesting that these have more of a “Summit Lake Hornets” theme going on. Unfortunately there’s no badge to indicate a clear connection as on the high version of the Nike LeBron X. Continue reading to see a new set of photos for this Nike LeBron X Low, remember that they’re releasing next month, and purchase yours a little early from prc.kicks on eBay.

Does this upcoming Nike LeBron X Low colorway deserve the “Sprite” moniker? For a number of sneakerheads, the colors aren’t quite close enough to warrant that nickname, one derived from LeBron’s sponsorships of old. In fact, some folks have even taken to calling them “Summit Lake Hornets” in line with another frequent color scheme from King James’ line. See the Nike LeBron X Low in treasure blue, white and volt (We can all agree on the official colors, right) after the jump and pick up an early pair from ronimo1989 on eBay.

Yesterday Sneaker News gave you a first look at the closest rendition of “Sprite” we’ve seen since the Nike LeBron 8 Low of 2011. However, these don’t exactly have that rich royal blue and vibrant volt, but rather a softer shade of blue and yellow with accents of teal green on the inner lining, midsole speckling, and exposed Dynamic Flywire cables on the upper. In fact, it’s every much as “Easter” as the colorway dropping on the 29th, but no need to worry – these are likely dropping not much later. Check out this new gallery of the Nike LeBron X Low “Sprite” below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for full release info.

After taking a break last year, it appears that King James is coming back to the thirst-quenching colorways with the Nike LeBron X Low “Sprite”. The colorway manages to do a good job differentiating itself from the last “Sprite” offering thanks to the slightly different hues used and the speckling that arrives on the midsole area (One that seems to be the standard for the Nike LeBron X Low). See the Nike LeBron X Low “Sprite” in better detail right after the jump and tell us in the comments if you think the pair does justice to this classic Nike LeBron theme.

Among the deals an eighteen year-old LeBron James signed before ever playing an NBA game was with Coca-Cola following the 2003 Draft. ‘Bron’s been sipping Sprite ever since, and along with that has come a steady stream of Nike Basketball releases whose colorways were inspired by the lemon-lime soda’s distinctive branding. The Nike LeBron X Low ‘Sprite’ brings us another this summer, continuing the lineage that started all the way back with the Zoom LeBron III Low PE. They’ve added a lighter blue shade to the traditional royal for a new twist on the crisp limon flavor, and with an eye-catching array of contrasting Flywire cables, speckled midsole and two-toned outsole, could these be the best ‘Sprite’ LeBrons yet? The question is yours to answer after you’ve seen more below, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for what’s likely a summertime release date.
