gold medal lebron x usa Nike LeBron X+ USA Sport Pack Release Date

While the rest of the sneaker world has very much settled down with the Olympic theme what with the games well over, Nike Basketball still has some unfinished business to settle. Perhaps the most exciting piece of business is the release of the Nike LeBron X+ with the USA look similar to that which LeBron James debuted during the gold medal game. Word has just arrived that the big day is September 29th, with the Nike LeBron X+ Sport Pack going up for grabs for $290, a slightly lower price than initially reported thanks to that initial backlash. Stick with us for more photos ahead of the late September release date and let us know if you’re copping this Nike LeBron X.

In a piece of Sneaker News that sparked some serious discussion, we welcomed a brave new world yesterday where basketball sneakers’ price ceiling extend beyond the $300 plateau.  We’re talking, of course, about not just any average design, but rather a model whose Nike+integrated version can lay claim to the most advanced roundball design of all-time: the Nike LeBron X.  The shoe that commemorates LeBron’s ascension to championship form celebrates ten years of the Swoosh’s longest running signature series and James’ second gold medal, and brings us top of the line performance and data tracking the likes of which are echoed by the ‘Diamond Collection’ treatment on the inner tongue and jewel-like faceted Swooshes, crowns and lacelocks.  That last detail reinforces that when you ‘Watch the Throne’ come November, all eyes will be on King James and his incredible LeBron Xs; are ready for the next big thing in basketball? The LeBron X Plus has begun to hit retailers in China, where LeBron is currently on tour, so stay tuned for more updates and a firm U.S. release date here on Sneaker News.

Nike LeBron X ‘USAB’ Sample

Recent previews of LeBron 9 Low and Zoom LeBron Soldier 6 draped in the colors of USA Basketball have us wondering what King James will wear as he represents the Stars and Stripes in London this summer, but if we remember back to the original Nike promo materials, it looks like he’ll be in a similar position with the Zoom Hyperdunk 2012 as Kobe Bryant was to the original four years ago.  So while it seems likely that ‘Bron will lead that charge, it’s fairly self-evident that the Olympic Games would provide a perfect stage upon which to debut the Nike LeBron X.  This new preview image of the ‘USAB’ LeBron 10 reveals, among other details, a unique ‘reversed’ heel Swoosh in the style of the (right) Zoom LeBron II’s ankle strap, the LeBron 10′s new traction pattern and a mudguard-level that suggests even the most advanced Hyperfuse constructions are still grounded in fundamental cordovan techniques.  Click through for more, let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for updates including all the LeBron X release dates.  via LRJ23
