When Nike Sportswear brought the Nike Air Flow back out this year the numbers were pretty limited. So while many of you may have missed out on those, their spiritual successor the Nike Lunar Flow has definitely been making the most of its time in the spotlight. These two upcoming colorways of the Nike Lunar Flow, Club Purple and Pine Green respectively, carry on the tradition of the monochrome look that has popped up again and again on this sneaker. What’s new is the suede treatment, with the buttery uppers hearkening back to the soft flexible feel of the original Nike Air Flow. Check out both upcoming colorways of the Nike Lunar Flow after the jump and stick with us for release info. via KicksCrew.

Lightweight mesh uppers are great and all, but what the heck are you supposed to do when it’s wet outside? We all know that the descent into the colder months equals nasty weather, so Nike Running has you covered, quite literally, with the new Nike Shield Collection. Comprised of six of the Swoosh’s freshest running silhouettes, this set takes its color inspiration from the grey and orange combo that appeared on so many shoeboxes over the years. Models including the Nike Free Run+ 2, Lunar Swift+ 3, Lunar Fly+ 2, Zoom Structure+ 15, Lunar Glide+ 3 and Lunar Eclipse+ have all been treated to special water-repellent uppers plus reflective materials to ensure that you’re visible even in the nastiest storms. Nike Sportswear has displayed freedom in their re-issues in 2011 this far, with the Nike Air Flow being one of the notable Retro releases of the bunch. Alongside the original Tier Zero releases, NSW dropped the Nike Lunar Flow, which, as you can probably tell by the name alone, is a LunarLon-cushioned version of the classic running sneaker. We’ve been showing you some great tonal-upper colorways of the Flow and for the Holiday 2011 season, you can count on these four bold new releases to hit stores. All featuring a tonal color-blocking, the Lunar Flow will arrive in a red, green, purple, and grey, featuring seamless suede and mesh uppers. Check out all four colorways below and let us know what you think. via Tenisufki.

Back in mid-June, Nike Harajuku in Tokyo showed off three new Nike Lunar Flows as part of a ‘Tonal Pack’ that has yet to make it stateside. The Solar Red pair popped up at an online retailer about a month later, but apparently that’s not all from this simply satisfying motif. Check out the newest Lunar Flow in a super-clean Blue Recall and white combo, the latest in a long and ever-growing line of dope unicolored Hyperfuse designs. The release date is still up in the air on these but given that the other pairs have already become available in Asia, it seems likely these aren’t too far behind. The LeBron 8 V/2 Low was heretofore this summer’s most significant Solar Red release, and while the Nike LeBron line’s stature means they’ll probably remain the most memorable, another pair bursting with sunny exuberance has just popped up to issue a challenge. The Nike Lunar Flow+ looks amazing in the aforementioned Infrared-ish shade, especially when it’s paired with a white LunarLon sole for the cleanest of accents. They’re part of a ‘Tonal Pack’ that just hit Nike Harajuku; will the other pairs also make it stateside? You can’t get any closer to wearing sun spots as sneakers, and they’re available now from Kicks-crew.
