The Nike Sportswear/Basketball BHM began its circuit last week, with the entire collection falling in the hands of excited consumers and sneakerheads and quickly leaving store shelves. The NSW Pack did in fact have four shoes to release, with the Lunar Force 1 of the BHM 2013 Collection releasing one weekend later (for no specific reason). If you’ve been keeping an eye on the Lunar Force 1 BHM, get them tomorrow on the confirmed release date of 2/2 at select retailers like Extra Butter.

The Nike Lunar Force 1 certainly hasn’t been afraid to get outfitted with some more unorthodox colorways during its young life. No doubt the most exciting on the horizon is the Nike Lunar Force 1 ‘All-Star’, but just in case that special edition is a little over the top for your tastes then there’s this. The pair goes with an ‘Oreo’ looking black and white formula that picks up some speckling for the Nike Lunar midsole cushioning. Continue reading for the full preview and stay tuned for the first word when these hit stateside.

The Nike Lunar Force 1 piece of the 2013 BHM Collection was curiously left out of the release this past weekend, but an updated release date of February 2nd, this Saturday, immediately followed. That extra breathing room between must-have releases certainly helps the cause, as this fresh set of detailed images reveals the true beauty of this great composition, with the translucent outsole revealing quite the impressive graphic on the bottom sole. Enjoy the gallery of photos below and remember that these drop this Saturday at select Nike Sportwear retailers.

The Nike Lunar Force 1 ‘BHM’ is a sneaker that will arrive a little bit later than the rest of its ‘Black History Month’ cohorts from Nike Inc. The brand new lightweight version of the classic Nike Air Force 1 silhouette will be releasing on February 2nd of 2013, ironically enough making it the only pair so far from the set to actually release during Black History Month. Join us in the wait for the upcoming Nike Lunar Force 1 ‘BHM’ and let us know if these will be a February pick up for you.

Nike Sportswear’s 2013 NBA All-Star collection features three classics, one updated icon and a brand new hybrid. There’s an undertone of evolution/progression as we start with the first ever Nike Basketball shoe and move forward along the timeline to find phosphorescent accents lending a spacey edge to the rest of the pack. With a concept that pulls together last year’s space theme with this year’s ASG site in Houston along with references to Nike’s former Roswell resident Raygun and the company’s founding date, you get a sense of past, present and future all rolled into one extremely eye-catching quintet. Click through for a closer look at the ’Area 72′ Nike Air Force Max, Blazer Mid, Lunar Force 1, Barkley Posite Max and the most significant Vandal High release so far this decade, and stick with Sneaker News for updates as we approach the Thursday, February 14th release date.

It makes perfect sense for the theme of outer space exploration to include the Nike Lunar Force 1, doesn’t it? While most of the Lunar Force 1 releases we’ve seen thus far have been of the basic tonal variety, the 2013 All-Star Collection gave Nike’s color team free range to go nuts with the composition, throwing in glow detailing, speckling, and a neat graphic on the laces and inner lining. Like the rest of the Nike Sportswear 2013 All-Star Collection, the Nike Lunar Force 1 ‘All-Star’ features the Raygun logo on the tongue. Look out for these on February 14th when the entire set goes up for sale.

The bar was set incredibly high (so high it reached outer space) with last year’s Nike Basketball’s 2012 All-Star Pack, but aside from the trio of Basketball signatures, NSW models like the Dunk, Air Foamposite One, and Air Flight One were given a massive boost as well. Much is in anticipation regarding the 2013 set of NSW releases, and today we’re getting a first look at what’s in store; the Nike Barkley Posite Max, Air Force Max, Blazer Mid, Vandal High, and Lunar Force 1 Low are the included pieces of this year’s Nike Sportswear 2013 All-Star Collection, with the tie-in to Houston’s NASA Space Center offering up another reason to go beyond the Earth’s atmosphere once again.
Nike continues the story that began with last year’s ‘Big Bang’ by notifying us of a transmission that has been received at Area 72 – a top secret facility located in the desert in Houston and inspired by Nike’s year of birth – and what is revealed is indeed the Nike Sportwear All-Star Collection designed with galaxy themes, glow-in-the-dark highlights, and reflective panels for a truly magnificent feel. Raygun, the iconic Nike Basketball character that debuted a decade ago, returns as the lead in this Pack, with its logo present on the tongue of each shoe. Continue reading for a first look at this amazing set and stay tuned for a release of the 2013 All-Star Pack by Nike Sportswear beginning this February 14th.
