On Thursday, Sneaker News got the unique opportunity to give the Nike+Training/Basketball technology a whirl by completing a full wear-test session at the Rivington Court in NYC. However, this experience is not limited to us media folks, because Finish Line has teamed up with Nike at two select locations to offer up the Nike+ Training/Basketball Experience at two of its major locations. In a special event Friday morning (before the mall was open to the public), Finish Line extended an invitation to its most loyal customers to try out the new Nike+ technology after a thorough overview of the products, allowing the invitees to test out the new technology and run through the same drills we were treated to on Thursday afternoon. The Nike+ Experience is open to the public throughout the weekend at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, NY as well as its location in the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, CA, so if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by to test your athleticism against your friends or strangers. In addition, the Nike+ Training and Basketball Collection (Lunar Hyperdunk+, Lunar TR1+, Lunar Hyperworkout+) is available at all Finishline locations now.

The Nike Lunar Hyperdunk+ debuts on Friday, June 29th, when at least five colorways arrive at select Nike Basketball retailers worldwide. We’ve seen detailed previews of the Volt and University Gold editions (Oregon and China-leaning colorways, respectively), and now comes time for the University Red-accented Obsidian pair that seems a natural fit for USA Basketball during this Olympic summer.
