Nike has a little bit of special footwear that’s set to launch on Super Bowl Sunday-the Nike Lunar TR1 NOR pictured above being a key player in the capsule. The sneakers don a yellow and purple colorway, a flashy combo that seems to have been selected to match the glitz of the New Orleans locale. What’s more they come with a few ’2013′ details along with the mantra “Justice Power Faith” on the inside of the tongue. Nike Football “Don Bosco Ironmen” Collection

“Bosco Knows” would be a great tagline for the George Costanza x Nike Cortez 40th anniversary tee that never happened, one for which we’d gladly enter our ATM codes. Elsewhere on the topic of ‘money’ in the tri-state area, New Jersey athletic powerhouse Don Bosco Prep makes the shirt a reality in the school’s feared maroon and white plus a bit of gold to set off the Ironman standard. It’s a part of a pack that also includes those Nike Trainer Clean Sweep hightops we showed you last week, as well as the well established Lunar TR1 and Vapor Talon Elite cleats, all geared toward the goal of winning Don Bosco’s seventh straight (!) state title. These dope high school PEs are available at the dope new Nike Yardline location inside Willowbrook Mall’s Champs Sports, which seems to suggest great things for both the retail concept and the future of local exclusives.

It’s a pretty good time to be a Duck, with the University of Oregon football squad rolling every team it comes across and Nike keeping up the sneaker output to celebrate, dropping yet another Nike Lunar TR1 in tune with the school colors. This one lets summit white play the upper, with the majority of the beloved yellow and green coming into play on the accents of the sneaker. Nike Lunar TR1 “Decepticons”

Autobots insist upon waging the battle to destroy their evil forces, but the Decepticons are actually quite desirable in certain contexts. The sneakerhead world is a place where the Transformers villains have turned in as many memorable efforts as their red-crested counterparts, and Michael Bay being on board for at least a fifth film in the series ensures we’ll get more cross-promotion in the years to come. Pictured above is a mysterious ‘Decepticons’ Nike Lunar TR1, a design with no apparent big screen tie-in whose Detroit Lions base colorway has us thinking more of Ford Field’s ‘Megatron’ than anyone from Tarn. These don’t appear to be headed to retail which could stand as further evidence of a PE build for superstar wideout Calvin Johnson, and either way you’ll want to get an eyeful below because these probably aren’t going to be up for grabs.

Good news, students and alumni from the University of Oregon finally have some Nike sneaker selections to go along with their beloved school. All jokes aside though UO has certainly earned the love from Nike, having produced its co-founders as well as some of its most celebrated athletes and designers. The latest trainer to grab the Ducks look is the Nike Lunar TR1+, this time doing so with a black based upper. The tongues featuring that vibrant ‘O’ branding and the “Win The Day” slogan slides across the back for a more specific callout to the football squad. EA Sports x Nike Lunar TR1 “Barry Sanders”
