A Nike collaboration taking its colorway from a British sports car is a recipe for success proven out by the immense success of Nike’s Kobe Bryant x Aston Martin pack from 2010. This new take on UK-born automotive muses won’t be as widely available (or lusted after) as Kobe’s Vanquish-inspired two-pack, but the colorway is similar enough to create more connections between that Hyperdunk/Zoom Kobe V set and this new AMEN x Nike LunarGlide+ 3 ’Lotus Evora’ design. Brought to fruition by German designer Paul Snowden, this special design for Munich boutique AMEN reimagines the logo-emblazoned Evora by utilizing its color palette on a design that adds ‘AMEN’ and ‘EVORA’ to the tongue tags to finish the tie-in. Check out the shoe and its inspiration in greater detail after the jump and let us know which has been the greatest car-based sneaker design we’ve seen so far. via Sneakerb0b

Generally it’s the older runners, the Air Maxes and the like that get the quickstrike treatment from Nike Sportswear. Every once in a while though the newer generation gets a taste of the special treatment, as with the Liu Xiang x Nike Running Collection from the latter half of last year. Furthering the limited releases for their brand new models, Nike is kicking off this year with the ‘Black Pack’, a deep range of colorways for both the Nike Free Run+ 2 and the Nike Lunarglide 3, split evenly down the middle for men and women. The look here is defined by a blacked out upper matched with an eye-popping outsole, with highlighter colors lighting up the pack. Follow us after the jump for a full look at the Nike Running ‘Black Pack’ which will be up for pre-order at Eastbay come Saturday, January 14th.

The punchline is pretty tired at this point, but it was once a novelty in the rap game to claim you had “kicks like Liu Kang”, referencing a character in the arcade classic Mortal Kombat. Going forward it might be more appropriate to call on Olympic athlete Liu Xang given his killer collection put together in collaboration with Nike Sportswear. Part one dropped back in the summer and were here with the follow up, a four pair collection with featuring the Nike Free Run+ 2 and the Nike Lunarglide 3. The capsule is split down the middle color-wise for the ladies and men, with imperial purple pairs for the fellas and max orange for the ladies.
