For the last few years, the LIVESTRONG partnership with Nike has accomplished its vision of supporting a charitable cause through sport. The LIVESTRONG x Nike collection can be best recognized by, of course, the vibrant yellow accents that are used to detail the sneaker, and sometimes the usage of the bright, sunny tone is heavy, and sometimes its minimal, like the second colorways of the LIVESTRONG x Nike LunarGlide+ 3. This second version features a tonal black upper and LunarLon midsole with the LIVESTRONG label on the tongue and minute yellow colorization on the heel, upper-most lace eyelet, and outsole. Do you prefer these over the Grey/Yellow version we showed you before? Nikestore UK has these in stock now so check out the extra shots be low and let us know what you think.

As we saw just last week with the shocking left-field announcement of the Nike Mag 2011, the Swoosh certainly has a few tricks up its sleeves when it comes to unveiling new product, but that exceptional case notwithstanding, the above pictured model has been running a strange course relative to the norm. The Nike LunarGlide+ 3 popped up over a month ago in the Berlin-inspired edition of a ‘City Series’ from which we’ve yet to hear another peep, despite the fact they’ve shown up in two other collections since then. Perhaps the LunarGlide 3 City Series is starting to take shape, though, as along with a Nike Womens Marathon edition, Tokyo’s Nike Harajuku has just started to stock the New York City LunarGlide+ 3s, a design by artist Mike Perry inspired by the world’s largest 26.2. Check out the NYC LunarGlide 3 in new images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date for these and the rest of the City Series.

Penn & Teller’s B.S. did a show ‘debunking’ obesity a few years back by showing that a heavier guy could out-hurdle someone who looked to be in better shape. But short, tall, fat, or skinny, there are few who can top Chinese Olympic gold medalist Liu Xiang when it comes to sprinting and jumping. Xiang held the 110m world record for nearly four years, but it’s a mystery why it took nearly that long again after his reign ended for the man to earn a sneaker collaboration. But the time is finally here and the Liu Xiang x Nike LunarGlide+ 3 and Free Run+ 2 collection appears to have been worth the wait. Mens and ladies runners will be joined by a run of apparel featuring Xiang’s ‘flying man’ logo, all packaged in a dope wooden chest. A mere 86 sets will be issued in honor of the now-fallen 12.86s WR and released with a 15-set preview run this Monday, August 29th. The lucky first 15 buyers will join Liu himself at a special event on September 1st, so click through to see more and let us know if you’re readying your passport to get these in Beijing. via FRESHNESS

It took about 15 years for Zoom Air to emerge after Nike Air debuted in the early ’80s and more than another decade before we finally got to try out Nike’s Lunar foam, but only a small fraction of that for LunarLite to be upgraded to LunarLon. The cushioning source for everything from the P-Rod 5 to the above pictured Nike Lunarglide+ 3, LunarLon provides superior comfort and feel for runners all over the world. And now just as the Free Run+ 2 did with its initial colorways, the Lunarglide 3 will drop in a ‘City Series’ including nine different cultural centers like Germany’s Berlin pictured above. Click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for more info including the Lunarglide 3 City Pack’s September release date. via sneaker-loft

The Nike LunarGlide+ 3 has been a successful model from the get go, but sometimes you gotta wait a couple months after a model drops to get to the good colorways. Fortunately Nike is turning up the heat with these, coming with two new editions in some classic two color combos that any sneakerhead should be familiar with. Up first is the black and yellow pair, a one-two punch that has been featured on many a Dunk over the years. Next we have the black and pinks, a colorway used by all time greats like the Kid Robot Air Max 1′s or the Nike Air Yeezys. With the super lightweight LunarGlide+ 3 branching out colorwise, we should see these on feet more and more in the coming months. Hit the jump to get a full look at each of these upcoming colorways and let us know in the comments which you prefer. via HB
