NIKE MAG 2011 The Nike Mag 2011 is a sneaker released in that same year styled after the pair that the character Marty McFly (played by Michael J. Fox) famously wore in Back to the Future 2. A limited run of 1,500 pairs were produced and sold exclusively on eBay, with all proceeds funding the Michael J. Fox Foundation to fight Parkinson’s Disease. The sneakers closely mimic those seen in the film, with a futuristic LED glow kit embedded in the design.

Nike Mag “Flux Capacitor” Customs by Mache

You can always tell that a sneaker customizer has real confidence in their work when they opt to touch up a pair that already has a good amount of inherent value rather than grabbing some outlet outtake. This all new creation from Mache is pretty much the ultimate statement in that regard, touching up the ever-so-coveted eBay only Nike Mag 2011 that was rolled out in charitable fashion just last year. The work done, commissioned by St. Louis Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan, puts the pair even further to the mythos of the movie; with a flux capacitor design winding around and reflecting the souped up Delorean that let Marty McFly and Doc go back and forth through time on the regular. Click through with us to check out the full shots of this insane custom and let us know if you think it’s an upgrade to the Nike Mag 2011 design.

Over the past couple of weeks there has been one definitive space-age sneaker for the celebrity set, and you already know what that sneaker is. Taking it back to one of the few sneakers in recent memory that can stand up to those in terms of excitement and exclusivity is the singer/producer The-Dream rocking the Nike Mag 2011, a sneaker that swerves around the glow in the dark treatment for some straight up LED’s in the soles. The setting proved proper to show them off, with the dim stage lighting at the vitaminwater Uncapped event in LA put on by Fader letting the Nike Mag glow that much more. Click through for a photo breakdown and let us know how you think history will treat the Nike Mag 2011 vs. this year’s monumental moon boot release. Additional photo: Orisue

Sneaker News just stumbled upon Kick Draw, a tumblr account featuring new drawings of some of the most historic sneakers of all time. The left-shoe profile shots are done in photo-realistic cartoon-ish styles, with solid-colored backgrounds providing a nice contrast. Rudy Gay, Drama & Nike Mag 2011 Welcome the NBA Back

rudy gay nike mag 2011 drama Rudy Gay, Drama & Nike Mag 2011 Welcome the NBA Back

To go the entire month of November without NBA games was tough for a lot of NBA fans, leaving some to cope in unique ways to help numb the pain of a basketball-less month. How did Rudy Gay kill his extra off-season time? By dunking on 25-foot rims and playing around with the massive toys at Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. But there were some serious moments, like when Rudy and FF’s Drama got together to sketch out plans to end the lockout, a meeting that almost didn’t occur because Drama woke up too late! It’s all good though, because Drama ‘laced’ up his Nike Mag 2011 and skated over to the Fantasy Factory just in time to catch Rudy Gay in the office. Did they hatch a plan that ended the lockout? Check out the video below and let us know what you think.

nike hyperdunk 2010 mcfly promo sample 14 Nike Hyperdunk 2010 McFly Promo Sample on eBay

The Nike Mag 2011 is undoubtedly the best sneaker release of the year and perhaps the last decade. Leading up to 2011′s magnanimous return of the self-lacing (sorta) sneakers was the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk ‘McFly’ that released in 2008. Inspired by the grey/like blue/pink tones seen on the original Mag, the Hyperdunk ‘McFly’ was an instant hit and to this day, remains as one of the most coveted sneakers of this generation. The sequel to the Hyperdunk was the Hyperdunk 2010, and a ‘McFly’ version was also devised utilizing a similar colorway from the Hyperdunk ‘McFly’. These, however, never did release, but a few samples did manage to make their way into the hands of some lucky recipients and collectors. If the Nike Mag 2011 is too rich for your blood, consider these unreleased Hyperdunk 2010 ‘McFly’ Promo Samples as a worthy replacement. We’ve got a detailed viewing after the jump, so take a look and hit up the auction from beautifulwinner on eBay.

Nike McFly Family Portraits

nike mcfly family portrait 03 Nike McFly Family Portraits

Admit it: One of your guilty pleasures is to sift through pages and pages of blogs that compile some of the funniest pieces of text or imagery on the internet. One of the more popular time-wasters on the ‘net is  ’Awkward Family Photos’, which features endless pages of some of the weirdest blood-related groups of people in the world. Family portraits in general are a bit awkward, but if you’ve got a respectable head of the household in the Nike Mag 2011 and two dope offspring in the Hypermax and Hyperdunk, there’s no way a portrait can look awkward, unless you decide to hold the Mags yourself while wearing a t-shirt showing Billy Crystal, as Mickey Gordon of the movie ‘Forget Paris’, shouting (what appears to be) profanities. Ah, so close. Still a cool picture nonetheless, so check out the Nike McFly Family Portraits and let us know what you think. via gallery2.
