swoosh life blazer sample 1 Nike SB Blazer Mid Swoosh Life Unreleased Sample

Let’s back-track to mid-2009 to a Quickstrike release of the Nike SB Blazer Mid; this release was the perfect sneaker for the sneaker-crazed maniac living that ‘Swoosh Life’, which was embroidered on the heel and embedded onto the insole. Today, we revisit the Swoosh Life Blazers in the form of a sample that features one of the more head-scratching blunders we’ve ever seen out of Nike’s factories; the ‘Swoosh’ and ‘Life’ embroidery on the heel have been mistakenly reversed, reading ‘Life Swoosh’ instead. In addition, the midsole on this sample is a solid yellow, whereas the released version utilizes rubber gum. We’ve got a complete look at this unreleased sample below, so take a look and check out the listing from cheapskates9107 on eBay.

If you take a look at the 2012 roll-out of new models from Nike SB, you’ll be able to grasp rather quickly what their goal is – respecting the origins of skateboarding while implementing its own spin on skating performance. Shoes like the P-Rod V and Zoom Koston One are prime examples of how Nike can elevate a classically-inspired skate shoe, but this particular feature focuses on one of Nike SB’s earliest converted models – the Nike Blazer. This upcoming April 2012 release features a black upper with a Sea Crystal swoosh, finished off with red heel-tabs and tongue labels. Again, expect these to hit Nike SB retailers next month, so check out the additional angles below and stick with Sneaker News for more SB headlines.

Usually if someone says you’re sneakers are trash it’s no laughing matter, but in this specific instance it’s actually a badge of honor. The pair of Nike SB Blazer Mids shown here are a sample leftover from Nike’s ‘Talk Trash’ project, an environmentally minded effort that consisted of footwear made from leftover factory scraps. We’ve seen this premium leather pair once before, but what wasn’t apparent back then was the collabo with Dutch artist Parra as indicated by his signature graphics on the insole print. Stay with us after the jump for some up close shots, and to get your hands on this scrapped Nike SB release, hit up the auction from ohthisboy on eBay.

Nike SB Blazer Mid – Trash Talk Sample

nike blazer sample trash talk 04 Nike SB Blazer Mid Trash Talk Sample

The Nike SB Blazer is one of the original Nike Basketball models that made the graceful transition into Nike Sportswear, becoming one of the cleanest, easy-to-wear pair of kicks in the history of Nike kicks. The last decade saw a ton of collaborations involving the 70′s basketball shoe, joining forces with some of the most recognized streetwear and skate brands like Stussy and Supreme. This unreleased Nike SB Blazer sample actually resembles the Supreme x Nike SB Blazer Mid releases based on the diamond-stitched pattern on the upper, but that material resembles Nike Considered’s ‘Trash Talk’ material, which uses scraps from the Nike factory floor to create usable, durable materials. You might even remeber the Air Jordan 1 2K High that dropped in June of 2010 that featured the same stitching on the upper. Check out the extra images below and let us know if you would have liked to see these release. via njsbcollector of N-SB.
